Whipcreat is an enemy in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby: Planet Robobot. It yields the Whip ability when inhaled.
Physical Appearance
Whipcreat is a black orb with yellow eyes, blue feet, and white hands. It wears an orange bandana across its face (which covers the lower half of its body) and a red fedora with a blue bond on its head. Whipcreat wields a whip similar to Whip Kirby's.
Games
Kirby: Planet Robobot
Whipcreat first appears in Stage 1 of Gigabyte Grounds and reappears in many stages thereafter. It walks back and forth across the ground, occasionally stopping to attack if Kirby draws near. It either spins its whip around before cracking it forward or leaps into the air, performing a Whip Tornado.
Whipcreat can jump from a background plane to the foreground plane using Whip Tornado, but cannot return to the previous plane using this technique.
Etymology
Whipcreat's name is a portmanteau of the words whip, a reference to the enemy's weapon, and creature.
