Kirby Wiki

Washed Away at the Cement Summit is the forty-fourth stage in Kirby and the Forgotten Land - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World. It is the seventh stage of Everbay Coast and is the Starry version of Scale the Cement Summit. It succeeds Fallen-Star Beach and precedes Crossing Wondaria.

General Information[]

Kirby begins the stage at the base of a large cement tower. He can see a spring atop some Durable Blocks nearby, but it is too high up to reach. To reach it, he must find and destroy 3 Big Starryflowers at the ground level to create some pillars next to it. After reaching the spring and inhaling it to obtain Spring Mouth, Kirby can climb the left side of the tower briefly before finding a Bomb Block above some Gordo Bars. If Kirby destroys it and follows the path of Starry Coins, he will find a room requiring him to use Drill and Spring Mouth to create and move across crystal islands to reach a Starry. Once he rescues the Starry, Kirby can return to the main tower to find a purple Big Starryflower. Attacking it creates a crystal path filled with Gordo Bars and red Switches, which leads to a gate that the Switches are used to open. Under the gate is another Big Starryflower, which crystallizes and creates platforms along the side of the highest peak. Climbing the tower and ground pounding the cracked ceiling causes Kirby to fall into the next section.

Inside of the tower, the facility is completely flooded. Several Walfs swim around the whirlpool-filled waters. A set of Collect pieces can be found throughout a massive area, usually requiring use of Drill. A Gotcha Capsule can even be found on a ledge with a Collect piece, inside a nearby dirt mound. After finding every piece, a gate opens to reveal a Starry. Once it is rescued, Kirby can destroy a Big Starryflower above some Gordo Bars to create a path for a nearby scissor-lift. He must then use it to reach another Big Starryflower above a line of Gigatzo fire, which creates a pillar containing a Gotcha Capsule when destroyed. After collecting it, Kirby can continue past some whirlpools to reach a platform containing a leaking pipe and an overflowing pipe. Going up the overflowing stream of water takes him to a crystal path containing a few enemies, which leads to a cone. He can use the cone to open the crack in the earlier pipe, which allows him to bring the cone to an enemy gauntlet over a shallow area. The shallow water will slow down Kirby's movement if he uses Cone Mouth, however. After defeating every enemy, he can continue up some flooding pipes to escape the waterworks and discover the goal. Before leaving, he can destroy a Big Starryflower in the bottom-left corner of the goal platform to find a ledge to the right. The ledge contains a Starry under some cracked ground. After rescuing it, Kirby can reach the goal right ahead.

Missions[]

Italicized missions are hidden from view during the player's first playthrough.

  • Clear the stage: When Kirby clears the stage for the first time, he will automatically save 3 Starries.
  • Save the hidden Starries: 4 Starries are hidden throughout the stage, requiring Kirby to rescue them. Their locations are the following:
  • Clear the secret room without drowning with Spring Mouth: If Kirby can collect the first Starry without falling in the water, the mission will be completed.
  • Play with the golden fish in the waterworks: A golden fish can be found in the second section, directly to the right of the second Starry. Kirby must approach it to complete the mission.
  • Win the battle over the water with Cone Mouth: Kirby must bring the cone to the enemy gauntlet and use it to defeat the enemies to complete the mission.
