Walf is an enemy in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby's Return to Dream Land. It yields no Copy Ability when inhaled.
Physical Appearance
Walf appears to be a blue sea-turtle with added antennae on its head, making it somewhat resemble a beetle. Its head is peach-colored with a larger nose in Kirby's Return to Dream Land, but is blue with a smaller nose in Kirby: Planet Robobot.
Games
Kirby's Return to Dream Land and Kirby: Planet Robobot
While Walf can be found on land, it instinctively marches to the nearest water source. It gracefully skims across the water's surface, paying no mind to Kirby. Despite this, Walf is not a harmless foe; Kirby will take damage if he collides with it.
Etymology
Walf's name may be derived from the word waif, describing its childlike appearance. It could also be a corruption of the word wharf.
Trivia
- An early, unused version of Walf can be found within the files of Kirby's Return to Dream Land. It has simpler pupils (which lacks irises) and a bald head with no blue cover over it. This version also has a lighter shell.
