Hi there =) I've seen your query to GameFreak about the quote generator box. I made the whole system (took 11 hours...) so I suppose I'll answer your question.

The code can look daunting, which is partly intended - to deter spammers/vandals who can mollify the quote box; changes on template pages are not seen on recent wiki activity, and they can put junk on it and as there are 30 over quotes there it would take some time to find out. But, once you work out the formula, it's really intuitive and modular.

Tell you what, head to my profile page, and post the 2 quotes and the episodes/games that they come from (if you know them) under the off-the-record conversations area (Yeah the main profile page :p and not the talk page, 'cause I don't maintain one at the moment) and I'll put them in. I did put editing instructions on the template pages but I suppose I'll make another set on my profile page if someone else is having trouble and direct them there.

Cheers, and have a nice day! Changtau2005 05:36, April 2, 2011 (UTC)

Hi there! I've put the quotes in. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'll assume that Kawasaki was talking to Kirby about Chief Bookem whom he turned into the flamethrower.

Lol go ahead and post 'em. I couldn't extract many more myself as I've been busy modifying skins and updating the article randomizer inside the portal system recently. On a separate note, if you like, check this skin Testing Site out that I've been developing for the site and maybe tell me what you think about it? Starman125 has been busy recently and I've not been able to garner much comment from him, and I haven't seen GameFreak in a while. Thanks.

I'm in the process of putting the other quotes in, but I'm kind of missing the point of the one in Scare Tactics Part II. I looked up the video, but I don't get what they are laughing at o_0 . Can you explain it?

The one about the DDD perfume, this <a url=""> video</a> at 08:17 shows Escargoon talking about air fresheners and saying DDD <blurb> (life formula??) instead of DDD perfume is great. I'm assuming it's the difference between dubbed versions as the show is broadcasted 2 times, but can you give me the link to the vid you got the quote from if possible?

Re: Background

Thanks for the input! This SkinbgDemo1 (click to expand) is as it stands in my graphic editing program. The vertical lines represent how wide the article area is, and the most-bottom horizontal line represents what most users would see on most browsers without hitting F11 to enter full-screen mode. The upper horizontal line is about how much of the image smaller-screened monitors would display.

Because the background is 85% transparent, my objective was to make the central area as clean as possible but still with backgrounds, so if you look at the lines, most of the characters are positioned just outside so they can be seen and not mess up the background when readers read the text on the article, and if they're inside, they are near the edges, as most people read at the center of the screen. It's rather full of characters as it is :p (It's a background after all) but I think I can put Ado/Adeleine somewhere if there's a good spot, and maybe Nightmare's sphere if I can get a good high-res pic of it and do some graphic wizardry on it.

Thanks again for your input. Starman hasn't been replying to my queries but I'll keep my fingers crossed on this eventually being applied as the default skin on this wiki.

RE: Music files + upcoming games

Haha I'm glad you liked the music. I don't know about the other wikis but i believe music in Kirby games is as big a part of the game as it is playing-wise or visually. The other wikis don't cover them, coz i think it's something to do with copyrights but I'm not putting the files on here so... I guess it's ok. If Youtube is ok with all the Kirby episodes on there a couple hundred songs wouldn't hurt right? :p

KRR has a much more complete collection in music than over here so you might want to check out this page. It's not as convenient to play though as you have to listen to them one by one. Because I made the pages using Youtube plugins, people can add it to their playlists and listen to good ole Kirby stuff while editing or doing anything, really. If I have time I'll expand it further, but the earlier music is kind of .. synthy, and much more difficult to find, but nothing to blame on Big N coz it's old music. Plus each of these pages take like 3 hours min to convert all the files and upload then put them up here in HTML, so it's kind of a slow work. I hope I'll get it done soon. Probably won't be as big a collection as KRR's, but my main motive is to put a theme music below the important characters or places so people can identify the music when they see it in a new game, but first I'll have to put them all together in one place. Sure would help a lot if I had sys-op access to the site CSS page, but Starman hasn't replied me yet so... I'll just have to slog on the hard way.

My current project is to mimic something like Wookieepedia's galactic era icons, and put a nav bar across the top of each page that links the games and titles each article is covered in. Work has not started yet, but I'm prepping the templates like Template:PortalLogo. Other wikis are doing something like Template:KA for each game and stacking up the (collapsible) boxes at the bottom of each page. While there's nothing wrong with that, I think it works out a lot prettier using the navbar, plus if users want to find out more about the game they should be navigating to the game page and not through a watered-down template, right? The template works excellently for articles about one game but since I'm integrating the whole site together via the portal system the nav bar should work great, but it's a lot of work.

Oh yea the game! We'll just have to wait till E3 I guess. Since Epic Yarn was the only title I played, trying copy abilities out on K Wii should be fun.

Oh if you happen to chance upon more quotes just post 'em, as I'm kind of occupied between the music files and templates at the moment.

I made a new guide in my user page under the public section. You might wanna check it out (wink).

Till next time, cheers! Changtau2005

Sorry, but the read more section is automatically generated by one of Wikia's extensions, I think, but I'm certain three is as many as it will display. It takes the category of the page being read and randomly displays other pages within that category, and the last image added to that page.

I already added browsing capabilities to the infobox for the episodes, so that already links the most relevant episodes to each, which is the previous and the next episodes. There's a nav box at the bottom of each article leading to every episode sorted by J or E names, or episode number. I suppose I can add something similar to Kirby: Right Back at Ya!#Wii no Ma episode thumbnails to that nav template, so it gives navigational thumbnails as well instead of just links.

Re:Articles to edit

Hi. You can check out Portal: Help Out, and click on the dynamic lister tab. Depending on what you like doing or fixing, it randomly lists stubs or articles needing clean-up or articles needing images, and so on. If you don't find what you're looking for (it lists 4 of each every time the page loads) click on purge at the top bar and it'll generate another selection of four. If you like to see the whole list, simply click on the icon representing that category.

Stubs usually need information to patch up some aspect of the article, so if you like composing new paragraphs, that's probably the thing to look at. Clean-up ones usually need some minor formatting done, or paraphrasing, but not so much in the way of new information.

Hope that helps a bit Changtau2005

About the images on Here Comes the Son, I'm not sure which one you're referring to, but yeah, remove it if you're certain it's from the other episode. About asking me questions, lol. I don't mind it at all; most of my work is behind the scenes but I'll answer anything that I know about.
You probably know this already, but since you touched on the issue of adminship, you can nominate yourself to becoming one on Kirby_Wiki:Requests for adminship if that responsibility interests you, and that the privileges would help you contribute to the wiki better. It is up to Bureaucrats to decide whether the request goes through, but anyone can vote on the request page. If the wiki is inactive and voting is not viable, you might be able to do the same by asking a Bureaucrat directly on his / her talk page.

Images in infoboxes

About that pic, it's inside one of our infoboxes, that's Template:Episode in particular. I made those infoboxes, and they're somewhat more powerful than before as they have automatic categorization, limited text parsing (processing), interlanguage capabilities and certain if-then-else tests for all sorts of other things, but they have their own quirks simply because of how they are coded to work.

Pages containing them are best edited in source mode. If you navigate to Template:Episode, there's a gray box under the title "Usage", so, for example, open Here Comes the Son in source mode, and you should see text that looks like what's in the gray box on the template page, but not necessarily everything. The problem with the missing picture is that an "image" parameter was declared i.e. there was "image = ....", but what it was equalling to was blank, so it gave a blank image field. Since you said the original image on the page is from Monster Management, I removed the whole part including the "image = " bit, and the feature of the template is that it automatically puts on an image needed notice and categorizes the page into articles needing images.

If you have a picture that's suitable as the main image of the page, simply put back in "image = (image code here) and it'll appear again.

When you sign your posts, use four tildes (~~~~), that way, there is a link to your user page. If not, users encounter difficulty finding your user page and better yet, your talk page. See here as well. Thank you, BNK [E|T|C] 13:05, July 21, 2011 (UTC)

You still didn't sign with the tildes, and to add an image you need to edit your signature in your preferences. BNK [E|T|C] 00:06, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

Hi. You just need to head to Special:Preferences and look under custom signature, and use it. About designing a custom sig in the first place, there's a 256 character limit to it (for the code), so if your code exceeds 256 characters, you need to design it in a template file and put in in custom signature so it knows to use the template in place of your sig.

Designing the sig is the same as coding any page, but you can only do it in code view like you have to do in templates. You'll invariably need several spans, and maybe a div or two, and positioning code. For example, the code for my signature is

<div class="bgribbontex1" style="height: 21px; width: 275px;">   <b><span style=" color: #FEC356; vertical-align: top;">Changtau2005</span></b><span style=" color: #FEC356"> ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ </span><i><span style=" color: #FEC356; vertical-align: top;">Ribbon agrees!</span></i></div>

The bigger one goes:

<div style="height: 20px; position: relative;"></div>
<div style="position: relative; top: 10px; z-index: -1;"></div>
<div style="position: relative; left: 100px; top: -15px;"><b><span style=" color: #FEC356; vertical-align: top;">Changtau2005</span></b><span style=" color: #FEC356"> ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ </span><i><span style=" color: #FEC356; vertical-align: top;">Ribbon agrees!</span></i></div>
Signature highlight
If those code blocks didn't make much sense to you (they're in HTML), you'll probably need to read up a bit on HTML before you can make one. I can make the sig for you although it's never as good as making one yourself. If you'd like me to do it anyways, pick a picture, one as flat as possible or as small as possible so it doesn't stick out and disrupt text lines (sprite images are great), say what text and in what color you want, and I'll get it done. It takes five minutes to make a simple one. The text line including all the padding is about 25 pixels high, so if it's a sprite I'll probably make it that high.Changtau2005
KirbyKSSUwalk Poyo! 03:57, July 25, 2011 (UTC)
The reason your sig does not link to your profile page is probably because you have a custom signature defined, has the checkbox "use custom signature" checked, and it doesn't code the link properly. In fact, from the signature displayed, I'd say in your custom signature box it goes (NerdyBoutKirby) or something like that. Regardless, paste this into the signature box in Special:Preferences to use your new sig. Just make sure "use custom signature" is checked afterwards. Sign with four tildes as usual and it should appear. Three tildes only will omit the date, but this isn't encouraged.
<span style="color: orange; font-weight: bold;">NerdyBoutKirby</span> <span style="color: orange; font-weight: normal;">That's what I am. Savvy?</span>
It gives: NerdyBoutKirby Dark DaroachThat's what I am. Savvy?
The text behind the picture links to your talk page but since this is the talk page, they do not do so right here. You can make color adjustments easily enough I think, since the code is verbose enough to make out what each section does. The picture is set to 30 pixels high to avoid disrupting text lines too much.Changtau2005

Re: fake DVDs

Reply to: [1]

Only administrators or Wikia Staff can block users, not an anonymous IP. If you see questionable information without a verifiable source or obviously not added in good faith, just remove it. If the DVDs were any real thing at all, he'd have to support it with box art (which I'd have emailed to Nintendo of America to see if it's a pirated or made-up copy or authentic), or a reputable website selling it. By experience, information posted by users threatening (emptily) to block other users who remove it are fake.Changtau2005

Illegal pics? If you mean to ask if taking pictures off IGN count as plagiarizing pictures, no, such sources are good. It's just not good or courteous to take pictures straight off other Kirby wikis and Kirby's Rainbow Resort since they also spend a lot of time collecting them from various sources and cleaning them up like we do. Re:Yarn stages

Yeah I agree that in their current state, they're better off merged with the main world article. However, it really isn't that difficult to make an article about it - for example, see Mad Mechanism of Kirby: Canvas Curse, which most of it is written by Timson622222. There's just a section that says what level it precedes and what comes after as a formality, then the theme of the level e.g. bouncy mushrooms for Mushroom Run, where to get the treasures for the level, and a few places to watch out for.

That's really it, unless one is really keen to provide a full walkthrough like those on a few of the levels in Grass Land, which is good but IMO not really that helpful as it says go up here, go down here, and most of the levels are fairly linear and the paths are fairly obvious. The new articles which are deleted are one-liners or not helpful / opinionated - on how hard the level is and whatnot instead of actually explaining the stage. I think a good article on one of those levels would need not be longer than the infobox itself. It just needs to put the correct points across i.e. if an article exists and someone had accessed it by searching for it, it must at least be able to answer some of his/her questions, right?Changtau2005

Re: Spray Paint

You know what, I don't think the room labels make any sense since the levels are not linear. Regardless of whether they do have actual labels or not (none that I know of), the locations where they can be found are covered by Kindarspirit's maps on the levels' articles. I think you could remove those room 1-2-ex labels if you think it's best.Changtau2005

I really don't know. There's this thing about strict categorization that doesn't really work - there's all this vagueness in the games, like whether Meta Knight is supposed to be categorized as a Kirby or not, and categorization is either yes or no. These enemies are just called "big bouncy" or "bouncy ty" or something like that and they're also a lot weaker than usual mid-bosses, say Bonkers for example.

Regardless of whether they should be categorized or not, do you have a whole list of them? Those big enemies I mean.

Oh and.. I'm 75% through Atsumete! Kirby, and it's going to be a nightmare to categorize whether an enemy is in that game or not. A lot of them are only in the minigames and not in the main story. That game is also a lot harder than the others to get a gold medal =) One single hit to one Kirby and make him blue... bye bye gold.Changtau2005

KirbyKSSUwalk Poyo! 03:56, September 6, 2011 (UTC)

About whether air ride machines would count, that's the point. There's these categories like undead or birds, which aren't necessarily the strictest defined categories, such as whether a character is in a game or not. IMO a category (containing articles) only works if it's strictly-defined and constantly maintained - it contains every single article it's supposed to contain at that point, and only those it's supposed to contain with no arguments about which or what. Otherwise we get changes here or there that are not always picked up and may not necessarily be correct. I spent nearly a week cleaning up categories when I made the database; There were more than a few incorrect or missing entries that made making enemy lists a headache. That's why I was trying to make a template that categorizes everything automatically by referring to database lists. It worked but it loaded the server too much, so it was junked.Changtau2005

Hi There!

Thanks for the welcome! I cant really argue about this being the best wiki around so far(I am NUTS about Kirby!!) Happy editing! GreenHillTraveler 17:08, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

Well, we shouldn't endeavor to link every single word that has an article on it, but links should generally be aimed to be made to aid users who we assume are completely new to Kirby. On Wikipedia, editors put the clean-up template on articles with too many links, but then again, they have millions of articles, and if everything is linked, the whole page would be blue. They allow for repeated links across sections on long articles, i.e. say Kirby is only linked once in each section. We don't generally need that though.

And about the pictures, they're not official pictures and count as user pics, and their numbers should be minimized. The wiki's policy states 3 to 5 for each user but it isn't strictly enforced like on community central, where everybody is allowed only one. Still, it's something to keep in mind, and images can be downloaded onto the PC and taken off the site since it's only relevant to the user and not the wiki. If there's any old user pics to be phased out, they should be tagged with the delete templateChangtau2005
KirbyKSSUwalk Poyo! 05:17, September 9, 2011 (UTC)

Hey I've noticed that you have been welcoming users new to Kirby Wiki. Several of them aren't nearly new users to wikis, really - some of them have 10k+ edits elsewhere on the Wikia network.

I think you might want to use

as a standard greeting instead. Such greetings using the template used to be automatic, but the bot that does that has been disabled since it masquerades as administrators by signing using their signatures. Manual use of the template is still acceptable. Changtau2005

Re: Pics

Generally users are allowed "a couple" of pics not relevant to the wiki to express themselves - like 3 to 5 are usually fine (of course, no spam etc). What I mean by usually is that I take issue with those users who just come in and post irrelevant pictures while not doing proper constructive edits - they just clog up our image library. The guidelines are common sense, really. By Wikia Community Central and Wikipedia standards, one user pic per person is the limit, and I agree with them, but most people aren't that austere, and we do have a smaller community to take care of. If you're adding in new ones, just remove a few of the older ones and tag the old file(s) for deletion. Official art / screenshots do not count as fan art, but just avoid uploading duplicate / equivalent copies of existing files. Screenshots / official art / other media which are taken from the mainspace / templates aren't counted as user pics - use however many you wish.

About modifying talk page content, if you wish to remove a pic, just don't completely remove it. Change it to a pre box or if you don't know how to do that, just remove the brackets to make it into text I guess. It's just like de-linking unhelpful red links.Changtau2005

Re: Common enemies

I don't know. I didn't make that template in the first place; When I overhauled infoboxes that parameter has to remain inside or else it won't display. Well, I don't know what you mean by posting on the wiki since you didn't say where, but you can post the finalized version in the sandbox or talk page to see? If you mean putting it up on the front page as a poll, there's certain criteria it has to meet beforehand: It should ideally

 • Be entertaining (subjective)
 • Have minimal statistical bias in wording and ordering (Did you know, to an uninterested reader, the first choice is picked most of the time? We cannot randomize the poll ordering like statisticians do.)
 • Have longetivity - quiz / poll remains relevant for at least a month
 • It should give the reader certain information / facts about the character / title etc. from the wording - i.e. the reader ideally learns something from contributing to the poll. That makes it a more interesting poll.
If you mean it's a large quiz or storybook-like project e.g. this one on KRR, you'd need a whole lot of templates which you can create as subpages under your user page, because the wiki architecture is not ideal for this type of thing.Changtau2005
KirbyKSSUwalk Poyo! 05:31, September 17, 2011 (UTC)
You can always implement it on the sandbox and see what other people think, if you want to. We don't know what it is or how it looks like, and so cannot decide how it can or cannot be integrated into the wiki.Changtau2005

Certainly not asteroids as asteriods refer to the meteorites in the asteroid belt, but they should probaby belong in another article altogether, maybe "Red meteors".Changtau2005

Hi! =) I appreciate the heads up on the "fake" animal friends pictures. Since I don't know which one is real and which is fake, it would be really good if you can remove the fakes from the relevant articles, and tag the target image file for deletion so we can get rid of them. Dark mind's Bomb

Well since we have the Red Meteor and the Blue Comet what about Dark Mind's Bomb that has no name? Its strangely considered an enemy well sorta.--unsigned comment by Newraptor (talkblogcontributionslogs) Always sign your posts with four tildes ~~~~ !

@ Newraptor: No, the reason the comets are on is because the official guides take them as an enemy although they are not on the game cast section. There's always a reason behind whether something is in the wiki or not, or whether something is in a category that ties in with official / reliable sources. We cannot put in information which we simply think is correct without evidence or if we see another article of a similar type. If in doubt, raise the issue on the talk page e.g. for Dark Mind's bomb, say it on Dark Mind's talk page before creation. This wiki had discussed about projectiles before. We're not including them because they're not notable, they're generic, and they're already covered within the attacks section of their respective characters' articles.Changtau2005

Re:New Messages

I'm not sure myself. Wikia just performed their weekly update a few moments ago, so that might be a temporary bug. The pages are also updating slowly, especially Special:RecentChanges, and pages load really slowly on my end. If you've closed the bubble by pressing on the little cross and it keeps reappearing, use Special:Contact to tell Wikia if you like to (it's not necessary I think). It's not happening on my side though, then again yours is the only message I've had in a while. I'm sorry but there's not much I can do - only Wikia staff has access to the php tweaks about when these bubbles appear.Changtau2005

Re:How to put this...

OK. I'm a Kirby, not an Adeleine. In proper words, I am a he =). About the infoboxes, it's a template, so if you're using the real-time editor, right click that green jigsaw piece like you're gonna edit any other template, and just put the file name into the "image" field. If you're using source mode (you shouldn't see jigsaw pieces in source mode) it's the same - make a new line inside the template, and put in

|image =

If you're on the real-time editor, just put in the back part after the equals sign into the "image" template parameter.

You should get used to source mode some time if you love to edit. It's so awesome-sauce powerful and can do exactly what you want if you can get over the learning curve, which isn't that bad at all if you just want to work with templates. If you edit on Wikipedia, you'll be right at home because Wikia wikis use exactly the same syntax.Changtau2005
KirbyKSSUwalk Poyo! September 29, 2011 (UTC)

&nbsp doesn't mean anything, but if you stick a semicolon at the end, the whole construct gives a non-breaking space character. In simple terms, it is the expression to use if you really want a spacebar character and nothing else - e.g. sometimes when templates etc are expanded, multiple consecutive spacebar characters are removed / condensed into one. If you explicitly want say, three spaces, putting three of those things together will give you exactly that no matter what. This is by no means an accurate description, but for most purposes, this is enough to roughly understand what it is, unless you want the full explanation (just ask me again).

Now, the Real-time editor has a bad habit of sticking these into random parts of the article where a normal spacebar will do the trick due to bugs. If you see those things hanging around in normal text areas and not inside templates, just replace the whole thing with a spacebar.Changtau2005

Do you have any ideas about this

Wikia will be making global changes to the top navigation pane in the coming weeks - that's the part in the red ribbon up the top of almost every page. If you take a look at what's on this wiki, and then at my testing site (w:c:testkirby:Kirby Wiki) you'll see that it's quite a change. I know at the time of this message the test site navigation looks fugly right now; I've only managed to change certain things and mostly it's still Wikia's default formatting which doesn't fit with our custom theme.

I already tinkered with it around the past few days and I already have a more or less clear idea of how to format that, and it's going to take quite a bit of work, but if you have a few moments I'd appreciate it if you can tell me what you think about the whole thing; is the default too wide or tall or something like that, and how you would do it if you're the one changing it. More people thinking about a problem is usually better than one =) Don't sweat it if you don't feel like it though, no worries.

Cheers, and keep up the great work on the wiki!Changtau2005
KirbyKSSUwalk Poyo! 21:05, October 10, 2011 (UTC)

As a general guideline, if something doesn't fit such a category completely and it can be contested, don't put it in. The main database-mirrored categories like Enemies in xxxx are usually fixed so that isn't a problem, but extra categories like undead or fish or birds can be - I don't take it as critically about whether something should be in one of these categories than I do with the database ones. To be fair, Necrodeus is nothing but a bag of bones in robes though hahaha. Do what you think is right. Changtau2005

Re:September 1st

I haven't forgotten about it =). I meant to add information on those enemies' pages that they serve as minibosses in stage x of world y and categorize them, but I'm really occupied these days with my own university work. There are more important things I have to attend to on the site - first I gotta set the top navigation formatting before Wikia introduces it as compulsory so it doesn't muck up the wiki, second I gotta cross-match all Mass Attack music against their titles in the game and upload them onto the site, besides regular Mediawiki and template maintenance. Which reminds me I still have to fix the pop-up list in My Tools in the bottom toolbar. I'll do that now.Changtau2005
KirbyKSSUwalk Poyo! 19:43, October 12, 2011 (UTC)
About the other question, no they are not since they are not in water. IMO those categories shouldn't have existed in the first place because they are not based on solid facts but guesswork and implied meanings.Changtau2005
KirbyKSSUwalk Poyo! 20:17, October 12, 2011 (UTC)
I've thought about removing them in the past but that would be wrong. Something so large is not for individuals to decide but the whole wiki. You can submit a proposal on the wiki's talk page if you like, but I don't know how the others would react to it. Unrealiable or dodgy information particularly irks me because I'm used to and taught to read scientific papers and filtering out dubious information from the proper. Now, this isn't a science journal so it wouldn't be reasonable to expect so much from everybody, but it is always better if such facts on here are based on something concrete rather than player observation or theory. If you have a look at Zeldapedia (the proper NIWA one), they mark theorized portions (with evidence, of course) really clearly.Changtau2005

Hey! I'm not sure if you know about it yet, but Starman125 gave you rollback rights in recognition of your ongoing contributions to Kirby Wiki (see here). If you already know what that means, that's awesome and keep up the great work! If you're not completely sure, this is what rollback rights are:

If you go to Special:RecentChanges for patrols as usual, and if you click on either the "diff" or "prev" option, you'll get the difference between versions, right? Under the (edit) and (undo) options, now you'll see [rollback]. Rollback reverts the article to the last version edited by the editor previous to the current one - i.e. say editor A changed the page 2 days ago, and editor B made 10 changes today, and they're not desirable changes, clicking rollback will change the article back to editor A's version in 1 click, undoing all 10 edits. This is highly useful against spam attacks and vandalism, but generally use undo if the edit's not spam or vandalism and give the explanation as usual.

Now I gotta get back to sorting through and naming the 170 sound files I just extracted out of the Return to Dream Land disc through WiiScrubber. Gotta finish the game first to know what's what. See you around >< Changtau2005
KirbyKSSUwalk Poyo! 21:22, October 30, 2011 (UTC)

Hey, if you use the RTE editor (that is, if you don't use source mode), it's a good idea to check your undos sometimes. I don't use it at all unless it's for deleting table columns, and sometimes they do ridiculous formatting tags like this [3].Changtau2005
KirbyKSSUwalk Poyo! 14:30, November 1, 2011 (UTC)
Okay, what happened there was just accidental. The wiki was acting all weird this morning with no pictures or colors or anything. When I edited Fatty Puffer, it gave me all this code, which I thought was just typical for format. I never use the Undo button because it backfired the one time I used it on Necrodeus. It's caused by automatic categorization via templates. You know how a category looks like in source mode, right? If you include one of them in a template and you use that template, it will be applied to the article. Most templates within Category:Article Tags do that, besides the spoiler ones. That particular category was caused by the section tag saying that Kirby GCN is a cancelled game. It's great that you've noticed that - I haven't taken such use of the template into account when I created it. It's going to need to be categorized in another new category altogether, like "Articles with unreleased content" or something like that if it's used in section mode.

I'm due for a lecture in half an hour, so I can't fix it right now, but I'll have a look at it later if someone hasn't already. Just leave the golem article as it is. It should fix itself once the template is tweaked.Changtau2005

Funny how...

...Whenever I get edit conflicted, it always seems to be because of your editing. Anyways, go ahead and redo your edit; copy and paste from your edit to the current one.--VitalitysigStarry-Eyed WonderVitalitysigtalk

What exactly defines "edit conflict" anyway? I just write what is true and correct others' mistakes. Not my fault. I feel a little insulted, by the way. Are you recommending I stop editing? I'll try to shrug it off, but I wouldn't mind an apology, because I did nothing wrong which was apparently a problem =/ NerdyBoutKirby Dark DaroachThat's what I am. Savvy? 17:33, November 10, 2011 (UTC)

That's not what I'm saying at all. An edit conflict is when one person (personA) is editing, and then another person (personB) starts editing the same page as "personA" and saves his/her changes before "personA" is finished editing, thus causing an edit conflict when personA tries to save his/her changes, kind of like what happened just now.
Hope that explanation clears things up, and sorry if it caused any problems.--VitalitysigStarry-Eyed WonderVitalitysigtalk
I'd call that a decent apology. Thanks for the info. I'm guessing the reason our edits conflict is because we both patrol at the same time, and I guess my corrections are quicker than yours =]. No hard feelings, Starman. NerdyBoutKirby Dark DaroachThat's what I am. Savvy? 18:06, November 10, 2011 (UTC)

But on an ending note, who would have thought "The Book of Fofa and other Mutants and Hybrids" would include pictures of Cad Bane and C-3PO from Star Wars? Have a look at the open-source and free GIMP if you want to removal sprite backgrounds. I don't know how it handles more complicated tasks like background-removal of official artwork and problems like jpg artifacts, but usually I'm the one doing those anyways and I have access to more advanced (but costly) image manipulation programs. Don't get me wrong, I can clean up images quickly, but it's always better for users learn how to do things that are not difficult rather than myself doing everything on my own. Plus it's twice as efficient as I don't have to mass-delete non-png images afterwards after multiple upload. Good sprite finds by the way.Changtau2005

It's me, user70.78.21.69, the one that was vandalizing. I made an account, but now I NEED to close it. How do I do that?

I Made an account, but now I want to delete it. how do I do that?

I dunno. Why do you need to?

Well, I gave them my e-mail address, and now I realized I shoulde'nt give that information.

Don't worry. The admins on this wiki have better things to do than mess around with your personal information.

I had no idea what i was doing was innapropriate, but now that I know that my behavior was wrong I wont do it again and pay more attention to policies. User:Ssonic116 3-28-12

Good then. Carry on with your editing.

Sprite uploads

Good work on the sprite uploading; just try to upload in "png" from now on; "gif" can sometimes prove to be a bit lossy in terms of quality.--Starman125SirkibblehelperKSS Mm7helmetersprite.pngEh, nice armor. Uh, sure, thanks. 22:26, April 3, 2012 (UTC)

Sorry about that. I was told by someone I know that saving the sprites as gifs was the only way to make them transparent. I'm afraid all the other KDL3 sprites are already saved as gifs, but I assure you that I'll save my next batch as pngs. Also, I had to upload an existing sprite (known as ChillyKCC.png) under a shorter name so it woul;d fit the character limit for my signature. I tried making another page for it, but that didn't work. I hope this sprite (called C.png) doesn't cause any problems around the wiki. NerdyBoutKirby ChillyKCCSmooth as Italian ice - Ooh! Cold! 22:41, April 3, 2012 (UTC)

I don't think it has to be a separate file; I can just make it redirect to it.--Starman125SirkibblehelperKSS Mm7helmetersprite.pngEh, nice armor. Uh, sure, thanks. 22:54, April 3, 2012 (UTC)
I guess it doesn't matter anymore... Thanks to Changtau2005, I got that page thing to work. Go ahead and delete the other sprite (C.png); I'm sure no one else will need it. NerdyBoutKirby ChillyKCCSmooth as Italian ice -- Ooh! Cold! 22:59, April 3, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Icons

Not really for the articles themselves.... the main KDL3 page with the list of them, maybe?--Starman125SirkibblehelperKSS Mm7helmetersprite.pngEh, nice armor. Uh, sure, thanks. 04:12, April 6, 2012 (UTC)

Er... how exactly would that work? I'm trying to picture it. NerdyBoutKirby ChillyKCCSmooth as Italian ice -- Ooh! Cold! 04:15, April 6, 2012 (UTC)

Think the Kirby's Adventure and Kirby's Return to Dream Land icon arrangements. Sort of like that, but under the different sections.--Starman125SirkibblehelperKSS Mm7helmetersprite.pngEh, nice armor. Uh, sure, thanks. 05:46, April 6, 2012 (UTC)
I'm not sure we're talking about the same icons. Here's an example. Is this what you're talking about?
KDL3 Tulip icon

Level 1 icon.

NerdyBoutKirby ChillyKCCSmooth as Italian ice -- Ooh! Cold! 20:52, April 6, 2012 (UTC)
That's the kind of icon I'm talking about, yes, just the arrangement of the KA and KRtDL icons.--Starman125SirkibblehelperKSS Mm7helmetersprite.pngEh, nice armor. Uh, sure, thanks. 05:04, April 9, 2012 (UTC)
Ok, you got the arrangement right, but it's.... not quite in the right section. No worries, just cut and paste it under the Allies section instead.--Starman125SirkibblehelperKSS Mm7helmetersprite.pngEh, nice armor. Uh, sure, thanks. 17:14, April 9, 2012 (UTC)

KTnT tracks and page archiving

I'll have to do them after June. Converting the videos, uploading, then creating the pages for their presentation, and then integrating into the portal system take up a load of time.

Maybe you'd want to archive your talk page as well, since it contains over 100 topics with several over a year old. Changtau2005
KirbyKSSUwalk Poyo! 07:13, April 16, 2012 (UTC)
Well, it's Pinball Land, but you were close. I look forward to having the Portal: Media updated. As for the archiving, I would do it if I could. I don't know how to at the moment. Would you mind helping? NerdyBoutKirby ChillyKCCSmooth as Italian ice -- Ooh! Cold! 21:25, April 16, 2012 (UTC)

Can you fix the sprites

Fix the Mecha Kracko and the Yadogaine sprite.

They look big.

I'd get better sprites of them if I could (along with more enemy sprites from Kirby's Adventure and Kirby's Pinball Land), but unfortunately, the sprites offered of them have to be put together on the computer, which I am not tech-savvy enough to do. Sorry, man. NerdyBoutKirby ChillyKCCSmooth as Italian ice -- Ooh! Cold! 14:58, April 21, 2012 (UTC)

Hey, I would like a signature please.

I want it sort of like the Kirby's anniversary picture with the words "Happy 20th anniversary!" and then my name ( Fumutan ).

If you would do this I would be really greatful, but it's fine if you don't want to.

Sorry, but I don't know how to make signatures. Changtau2005 and Starman125 do, though. If I were you, I'd ask them. NerdyBoutKirby ChillyKCCSmooth as Italian ice -- Ooh! Cold! 20:30, April 24, 2012 (UTC)

I don't want to be mean or anything, but Bombar does NOT appear in Cabbage Cavern in KatAM. I played the game so many times I lost count and Bombar is not there. But there are a couple Shooties thereOjo4646 20:14, May 8, 2012 (UTC)

Are you sure? I believe Bombar appears everywhere except Olive Ocean. NerdyBoutKirby ChillyKCCSmooth as Italian ice -- Ooh! Cold! 21:27, May 8, 2012 (UTC)

Tilt 'n' Tumble artwork

I'll see what I can do.--Starman125WizspriteExperienced in both templates,BonkersK&amp;tAMand patrolling 16:01, May 20, 2012 (UTC)

You need to create signatures under the User namespace, not the main article namespace. I've moved your Sig3. Changtau2005
