Guide books

Hi there! I was just wondering if you have the guide books for Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land or Kirby and the Amazing Mirror. If you do, would you mind scanning some pictures from them? It would really be great if we could get old artwork from those books uploaded. Thanks! EmptyStar (talk) 14:59, August 11, 2012 (UTC)

Don't worry about your grammar, I can understand you just fine. =) And yes, cellphone pics would be fine. Did you take the picture of Chuckie and Hurly with your phone? Because that looked fine. Just be sure that when you take the pictures they're as clear as possible and the book is down flat so the pictures don't look bent or distorted. And yeah, I'll make a page for those Halcandra enemies later. Thank you SO much for doing this! EmptyStar (talk) 17:31, August 13, 2012 (UTC)
I talked with the other administrators here, and as it turns out we actually aren't going to make separate pages for the Halcandra enemies because they're too similar to the regular enemies. Thanks for the suggestion though. Please upload those guide book pictures soon though! I can't wait to see them. After you upload them I'll do the rest and put htem on the appropriate pages. Thanks again! EmptyStar (talk) 23:45, August 21, 2012 (UTC)

Ado and Adeleine

Ado Adeliene

I have one more request about your guide book. Can you let me know what this page says about ado and Adeleine? No one is sure if they're the same person, and it looks like this book finally has the answer. Thanks so much!EmptyStar (talk) 15:03, August 25, 2012 (UTC)

Wow, thanks! So the book says they're different people? Awesome. And can you please upload the artwork soon? It would be nice to have them uploaded for the 20th anniversary. I'll do all the editing and cropping for them if you upload them. Thanks. EmptyStar (talk) 19:07, September 1, 2012 (UTC)
Thank you so much. All the pictures are wonderful, I can't wait to see more! I'll be putting them on the pages throughout the day. =) EmptyStar (talk) 16:14, September 3, 2012 (UTC)

If you don't mind, have a look at this. I understand that the Daizen46 image you added is real artwork, but some people could consider it off-color and/or offensive. After all, this wiki was created to be used by children. While I'm not forcing you to remove it, I would highly recommend you place it in the spoiler template so viewers can choose to see it or not.

As an administrator, the editor's manual gives me the right to remove the image. I will do so if you do not place it in the spoiler template or remove it yourself within the next 48 hours. Thank you for your time, NerdyBoutKirby 20th Sig20 years. Pretty nifty. 15:16, September 4, 2012 (UTC)

Awesome job so far

Thanks so much for all the images. I'm still in the process of placing them all to the pages, and I'll do more of that today. Does the book have artwork from Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland? It would be amazing to get artwork for the bosses like Nightmare, Heavy Mole, Mr. Shine & Mr. Bright, Paint Roller, and all the others. Thanks again! EmptyStar (talk) 16:28, September 8, 2012 (UTC)

Awesome job once again. I've begun to crop, resize, and color-correct them. Here's some of the artwork you uploaded, all touched-up:

You're doing this Wiki a great service, keep it up! I can't wait to see what's next. And feel free to use the cropped images over on the Japanese Kirby wiki as well if you wish. =) EmptyStar (talk) 20:53, September 13, 2012 (UTC)
Now we're just missing Nightmare in Dream Land artwork of Whispy Woods and Kracko. Oh, and is artwork from Kirby Super Star Ultra and Kirby's Return to Dream Land. It would be awesome to see artwork of Marx Soul, Galacta Knight, and all the others. Thanks for doing all this. EmptyStar (talk) 22:24, September 14, 2012 (UTC)
Sure, take your time. Sorry if I seemed impatient or pushy. I'm just excited to see all the artwork, haha. EmptyStar (talk) 01:41, September 17, 2012 (UTC)
@Kirbyellow --> I own the English version of the artbook, and in mine, there are two enemies I'd like the artworks of (in mine, they're on page 38). If you could also get Drifter (11), Kookler (12), Gordo (26), Bouncy (26), and Kapar (27), I'd appreciate it. =] NerdyBoutKirby 20th Sig20 years. Pretty nifty. 20:47, September 18, 2012 (UTC)
Alright, sorry to interrupt! But perhaps can we hold off on getting that artwork until we get artwork for things we don't have yet? My first priority is getting artwork for pages that don't yet (KSSU art of Marx, Sailor Dee, Captain Vul, etc. if they exist). Furthermore, to answer your question Kirbyellow I'd prefer to get artwork of bosses up first, just because those are the more high-traffic pages and get more viewership. And to answer your question, no I don't have the English book, so I'm not sure what it says about it! I'll check around though. =) EmptyStar (talk) 21:47, September 18, 2012 (UTC)
@NerdyBoutKirby --> Japanese version book of Kirby's Dream Collection also has Whippy, Water Galbo artworks. I think they may be the same artworks between English Ver. and Japanese Ver.
Japanese version book also has Drifter (11), Kookler (12), Gordo (26), Bouncy (26), and Kapar (27)'s artworks on the same page as the English version.
And, in "星のカービィ プププ大全", Drifter (11) is KDL2, Kookler (12) is KBB, Gordo (26) is Kirby64, Kapar (27) is Kirby64's artwork. So, I will upload the images other than Drifter. In addition, there are artworks of Waddle Doo, Bront Burt, Blipper, Leafan, Pierce of Kirby's Return to Dreamland. I will upload these images (with Whippy & Water Galbo) , is this OK?
If you want to any other artworks and tell me, I will upload(if I have the artworks).
I'm sorry about my strange English. - Kirbyellow (talk) 09:39, September 19, 2012 (UTC)
@EmptyStar --> OK, I will upload the image of the bosses. Marx of KSSU is exsits. Captain Vul's artwork is not exist. I have ever seen Sailor Dee's artwork (perhaps), but I don't have it.
Haven't you bought Kirby's Dream Collection yet? Please play it! New BGM used in Magolor Race is so excellent!! - Kirbyellow (talk) 09:54, September 19, 2012 (UTC)
@Kirbyellow --> Wow, how'd you get Leafan and Pierce? I know they're in there, but they're barely visible with the page crease! Way to go! If you could upload these sometime soon, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm sure to pester you some more for more art =], but I'll be content for a while once you'd uploaded the ones already requested. Keep up the great work! NerdyBoutKirby 20th Sig20 years. Pretty nifty. 19:46, September 19, 2012 (UTC)
Kirbyellow Waddledee
Hey Kirbyellow, I checked in with someone with the English version of the collector's edition book. yes, there is an article about Kirby's Avalanche in it. It replaces the Kirby Super Star Stacker page. I'll get some more information on it sooner. And I checked it out and there is artwork of the Sailor Waddle Dee. I found this on the English site of Kirby Super Star Ultra. EmptyStar (talk) 02:29, September 22, 2012 (UTC)
@EmptyStar&NerdyBoutKirby -->I scanned some images. However, some images is small.... I'll try to scan more large images. - Kirbyellow (talk) 03:28, September 24, 2012 (UTC)
Sorry if I'm overloading you with this request, seeing as the others have requested similar things, but if possible, is there artwork of Walky and Wheelie on page 21, artwork of Dedede on page 39, and artwork of a Javelin Knight on page 35? I don't know if the Japanese art book has the artworks on the same page as the English, but the game on page 21 is Kirby Super Star, page 29 discusses the GameBoy Advance Kirby games, and the game on page 35 is Kirby Mass Attack, if that helps. Keep up the excellent work. --Game JetGameFreak WOOOOSH!

Super Star Stacker Summary

G'day. I'm wondering a few things: Do you speak fluent Japanese? Do you own the Japanese version of Kirby's Dream Collection: Special Edition? If the answer to both these questions is "yes," I would like to ask for your help on this:

In the history section of the game, there are videos with a summary for each one (a summary that shows while the video plays). Since Kirby Super Star Stacker was never released in America, the English copy of the game does not have a video or summary of it. Would it be possible for you to translate the summary (again, the one that shows while the video is playing) into English and post it on my talk page? I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, is there any mention of Kirby's Toy Box at all? If so, I would like that summary too, if you don't mind the task.

It's just a post about Royal Land. The post is fiendishly difficult for my level of Japanese, but from the keywords throughout the post I don't think it says anything you can't know by playing the game. I'll roughly translate the first 3 passages:
This time, the director is going to talk about level 6, Royal Land. "Good day. I'm the director of Triple Deluxe. It's been six months since the release of the game. We have already considered how to proceed up to the final level (?). So, this time, it's going to be about the final floating continent, Royal Land. Level 6, Royal Land, is a continent which is entirely built for the royal palace, and everything exists for that one castle (?). Over there, the flower people, who are beatiful, kind, clever, and just a bit greedy, live alongside the insect people. The story this time is about the abandonment of the way of coexistence with the bug people and the pursuit of beauty, which all started from the desire to rule. (and so on)
I don't know how accurate that was, but there you go. The rest of the post talks about bug soldiers, adventure, magic, royalty, and the stage of the royal palace. I haven't played the game, but if it makes sense then you already know the story =) Changtau2005

Umm.... It's difficult for me to translate, but I'll try.
"Good day. I'm the director of Triple Deluxe. It's been six months since the release of the game. We think many player have already arrived at final level.
So, this time, it's going to be about the final floating continent, Royal Land.
Level 6, Royal Land is a continent which is entirely built like the royal palace, looks like a castle.
The flower people who are beatiful and kind, and The insect people who are clever and just a bit greedy, live there.
The story this time maybe began by a specific insect family's the abandonment of the way of coexistence, the pursuit of beauty, seized with the domination greed.
The warp zone called "Warp Hole", which leading to the various continents, appear in Level 6.
Surely, these are the things which the Final Boss, who ruled Royal Road, placed in order to proceed with the next dominance to lower world and other countries.
There are stages which advent the various continents yet in Royal Road,
it's understandable that the Insect soldiers "Sectol Dees" who are vanguards have already forestalled.
In adventure of Kirby, he quite couldn't catch up escaping Taranza because of these trick by magical power.
Triple Deluxe's Final Boss is a specific in family, a little different type from so far series, the Final Boss creates Warp Hole, confined the flower people and uses the magic of the puppet.
About the visual side of the Final Boss, the beauty is theme rather than the fear. I think it's unique points in Triple Deluxe that the battles which takes place in the royal palace and the fate of the royal family who obsessed with beauty also.
It is a very formidable enemy, but somewhere, you will feel the transience in the end. It is exactly like a scattering flower.
Did Everyone arrive the True Fight which waits at the end anymore?
I think everyone completes the story which this one world tree connects by all means."
(Did I transmitt to you well...?)

These senetences are from "星のカービィ 参上! ドロッチェ団 かんぺきサポートガイド"(Kirby: Squeak Squad Completely Support Guide). The first one is from page 24, the other is from page 189.
Translation of Page 24;
" "Kyapâ"
Ghost of Tedhaun's minion. Upon command, it comes toward Kirby."
I don't know the English name of "Kyapâ(キャパー)", but the name of キャパー is official name in Japan.
Translation of Page 189;
" " If you was defeated in battle with Dark Star..."
Usually, when you were defeated fighting a boss, you would have been returned to the map.
However, if you were defeated by Dark Nebula, you are moved in a small separate room, and start from there.
By the way, it is safe because Triple Star is put here.
If you leave this room, you will fight with Dark Nebula soon. So you enter the door after preparing your mind."
This small room is called "Special Room(スペシャルルーム)" in the official guide book. Please try to lose Dark Nebula. Also, the small star before changing Dark Nebula is called "Dark Star(ダークスター)".

Turns out there is actually a lot more content than we suspected. Somebody owns a booklet containing concept art and unused content from the games. There are various other pictures to view. If you do choose to take on the task of translating them all, which we expect to take a rather long time, both our wikis could be benefited greatly. Here are the various pages that we have now possessed. You can zoom into the pictures by clicking them if text isn't big enough.
It's a lot to take in. Do it at your own pace; we don't want to rush you. If you're working on something else currently, that's fine. This can wait, but we do want to get results as soon as we can. Thank you. IqskirbyBeam Machine GunBihm Masheen Gahn! 11:48, September 18, 2015 (UTC)

Squeak Squad

Hello Kirbyellow. Something has come to my attention that I figured I'd ask you about. Recently, somebody had wondered where the idea that Daroach was searching for a chest containing ultimate power, as well as the idea that Spinni was female in the Japanese version of the game; our wiki doesn't have any sources supporting either of those claims. I've looked through the english manual, but there was no mention of finding treasure of ultimate power, and the game doesn't mention Spinni's gender, although it's male in Kirby Mass Attack. Can you confirm whether or not Spinni identifies as a female in the Japanese version (instead of gender neutral), as well as whether or not Daroach was in search for treasure that would grant him (and his gang) endless power? Thanks. IqskirbyBeam Machine GunBihm Masheen Gahn! 22:05, January 22, 2017 (UTC)

Hello!! Japanese Kirby: Squeak Squad & Kirby Mass Attack (including guide books) don't mention specifically about Ultimate power and Spinni's gender, as far as I know. However, in Kirby Mass Attack US version, Spinni is used pronoun that "he"(In Japanese version, not used pronoun), so Spinni's gender is maybe male in US version, I guess. I found this tweet on the official Kirby Twitter page. I know it hints at some kind of Waddle Dee product coming to Kiddy Land stores in Japan, but I don't know anything else about it. Do you have more information?

Ice Bomb

Hello. I recently discovered that our Kirby 64 Power Combo articles did not include links to the Japanese wiki. I began fixing this, but I ran into trouble when doing Explosive Snowman. The Japanese wiki has two "Ice Bomb" articles, both referring to abilities that are a combination of Ice and Bomb. So, whenever I link the page, even with the parenthesis dictating which Ice Bomb version is being referred to, the link just leads to the disambiguation page. Do you know how this could be fixed?
