Ribbon would be a rather decent character for Super Smash Bros. games. Her attacks would be based on the powers from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. She would be a lightweight fighter, with two jumps and a hover (see the Gimmicks for details).

Mobility

Ribbon will have two basic jumps plus a hover (See Gimmicks for details.).

Basic Attacks

  • Standard Attack: A three-hit punch combo.

Tilts=

  • Up: A parasol twirl overhead, from the Parasol power.
  • Side: A forward swing with the cutter, parodying the attack Cutter Kirby can do when he is paired with Chuchu the Octopus.
  • Down: A broom sweep, from the Clean power.

Conditional Attacks

  • Dash: A Yo-yo spin that mirrors the Break Spin from Kirby Super Star.
  • Prone/Supine/Trip: Ribbon grabs a weapon like a sword, staff, or hammer.
  • Ledge: Same as the dash attack.

Charged Smash Attacks

  • Side (Flame Sword): Based on the Sword of Fire that can be gained from combining the Burning and Cutter powers. Ribbon swings a sword and then throws it as a projectile if she charges it completely.
  • Up (Giant Claws): Ribbon trips a bear trap that comes from the Giant Claws ability (Cutter + Needle). This hits all around and the trap's hitboxes are similar to Donkey Kong's hands, although they hit as soon as they start moving and up until they collide, after which the trap breaks.
  • Down (Double-bladed Laser Sword): The Double-Bladed Laser Sword. Ribbon spins the weapon around, first striking ahead and then behind her as she does so.

Aerial Attacks

  • Standard: The basic Needle power, though this time from a helmet. Ribbon can charge the move to make the attack stronger and even launch the spikes.
  • Up (Lightning Rod): Ribbon dons a helmet that gets shocked by a thunderbolt. This comes from the Lightning Rod power (Spark + Needle).
  • Side:

Grab & Throws

Ribbon will grab foes by telekinetically drawing them in, holding them up in a manner similar to the Lift mechanic. She pummels them by shaking them.

  • Side Throws: Ribbon throws the foe toward the proper direction.
  • Up Throw: Ribbon throws the foe upwards.
  • Down Throw: Ribbon throws the foe down into the ground.

Special Moves

Standard Special Move: Cutter Blade

Ribbon throws a boomerang that acts like Link's basic Boomerang from Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It just flies ahead and then comes back to its starting location (where she threw it from), ripping through it.

Custom Variations
  1. Multi-cutter: Smaller boomerangs that can be spammed more effectively.
  2. Big Cutter: Slower boomerangs that deal more damage.
  3. Boomerang Flower: Similar to the Boomerang power-up from Super Mario 3D Land. The Boomerangs can bounce off surfaces, trying to return to Ribbon no matter where she is.

Up Special Move: Burning Charge

Ribbon performs a powerful burning charge that goes upwards and slightly forwards.

Custom Variations
  1. Cartoonish Burning: A variation that goes further, but Ribbon stops suddenly and starts falling later.
  2. Burning Kick: Basically Incineroar's Cross Chop.
  3. Super Fireball Charge: This deals more damage and goes further, but has huge start lag for the charging.
Side Special Move: Hammer Swing

Ribbon swings a Hammer forward.

Custom Variations
  1. Sword: Ribbon swings a Sword that deals more shield damage and less knockback.
  2. Spear: A forward Spear thrust. Ribbon can slam grabbed foes against the floor.
  3. Quick Draw: Similar to Sword, but Ribbon charges forward.

Down Special Move: Bob-omb

This comes from the Bomb ability. Ribbon throws a bomb forward. This bomb can walk around like Bob-ombs from Super Mario.

Custom Variations
  1. Bomber: Much stronger, but explodes upon striking the ground immediately.
  2. Dynamite: Basically the Dynamite power (Bomb + Stone).
  3. Exploding Ninja Star: Basically the Exploding Ninja Star power (Bomb + Cutter).

Gimmicks

Ribbon is able to hover for her mid-air "jump", in a similar manner to how Bee Mario flies in the Super Mario Galaxy games.

Final Smash: Ribbon's Crystal Gun

Ribbon takes her Final Smash from her latest invention in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, used to fight Zero-two. This will work in a similar manner to Diddy Kong's Rocketbarrel Barrage Final Smash, or at least how Diddy Kong used it in his Brawl and Smash 4 appearances (Why did he have to go wild for Ultimate?).

Battle Poses

Taunts

Ribbon can taunt foes by juggling crystal shards, falling asleep and dreaming about the fun things she and Kirby could do, and blushing, holding her face in her hands.

Idle

If she does not move for some time, she will look around.

Victory Animations

For her victory animations, Ribbon could show the audience her Crystal Shard and then shout, "I did it!", read a book and look at the camera with a nervous smile, or eat a strawberry as a throwback to the goal game where she is eating some food. If she was his ally, Kirby could snuggle with Ribbon, referencing their romance, and she has a fifth animation with Adeleine, where they dance just like in Kirby Star Allies.

Palette Swaps

Ribbon can reference her fairy friends with her palette swaps. Her default outfit would obviously have her hair pink, her dress red, and her trousers white (Red Team). Her second outfit is an orange costume with brown hair, followed by a cyan outfit with yellow hair (Yellow Team), then a red outfit with green hair (Green Team), then a blue outfit with orange hair (Blue Team), then a blue outfit with purple hair, then a purple outfit with magenta hair, then a white and pink outfit with black hair and a yellow ribbon to reference the queen herself.
