A Time Bomb is a large explosive device consisting of three red sticks of dynamite bundled together by a red, a blue, and a green wire. The bundle has a white plate on its front adorned with a skull image. Surrounding the skull is a circle of yellow dots that turn red before detonation.
A Super Time Bomb is an even larger version of the original Time Bomb. It has a black and orange color scheme, five massive sticks of dynamite, and an angry skull design on its front.
Time Bombs appear in three Battle Modes: Rocket Rumble, Crazy Theater, and Battle Arena. In the former, they spawn into the play area to cause commotion. After being on-screen for several seconds, a Time Bomb begins flashing red and producing loud ticking sounds, before violently exploding. This explosion greatly damages any player it catches. The blast can also knock loose up to seven fuel from rocket if the bomb is near one when it detonates. Time Bombs can be carried and thrown like most items in Kirby Battle Royale, increasing their utility in battle.
In Crazy Theater, it appears in the "Avoid the Blast!" challenge, and had purple dynamite. Its area of effect has a purple outline and particles as an easy way of determining if someone's safe or not. It can be picked up and thrown to surprise other players. It defeats anybody that gets caught in the explosion, in addition to preventing them from scoring points.
In Battle Arena, Time Bombs with short fuses begin appearing all over the play area after three minutes and thirty seconds have passed. More bombs spawn simultaneously if the players evade the previous ones. This is done to conclude long-running matches.
In The Cake Royale's Gold League, the twelfth battle, titled Fear the Super Time Bomb, employs exclusive Super Time Bomb items. They have bigger blast radii than normal Time Bombs.
