Makes any text an anchor on a page that can be linked to using the standard hash (#) fragment identifier, without it having to be a header.

Usage:

Simple use:

{{Anchor|<<<text>>> (also ID in this case)}}

Full syntax:

{{Anchor|<<< ID >>>|<<< text (optional) >>>}}

The ID is the title of the anchor. Note that the ID cannot have any whitespace (e.g. spaces, tab characters etc.) The actual text that appears defaults to this ID, unless specified otherwise using the second argument. This field can contain whitespace characters.
Example:

First, one needs the link that brings the page to the anchor. For the purposes of this demonstration, we will use

  1. Template:Anchor#TestSection1 - This demonstrates the use of the simple syntax
  2. Template:Anchor#TestSection2 - This demonstrates the use of the second optional argument

TestSection1
This particular line of text is generated by {{Anchor|TestSection1}}

TestSection2 - With Extra Text
This particular line of text is generated by {{Anchor|TestSection2|TestSection2 - With Extra Text}}

This is the format that should be used when the title contains spaces.
