It was announced that Knuckle Joe will appear in Super Smash Bros. DS. He was the first new playable character confirmed.
Although Knuckle Joe has been confirmed in the game, it still has not been confirmed that there is any connection with him. Screenshots have shown Knuckle Joe teaming up with the legendary Pokémon, Mew.
