Sub-games (sometimes written subgames,[1] also called Bonus Games[2][3] or Boss Games[1]) are small games that were first introduced in Kirby's Adventure in 1993. They are often accessed from the in-game main menu. They are usually optional in nature, and sometimes have to be unlocked by progression within the main story mode of the game. They range from very easy and not really detailed to very challenging with a lot of depth. Starting in 2014, some have been expanded into full games that are sold on the Nintendo eShop, which are Kirby Fighters Deluxe, Dedede's Drum Dash Deluxe, Team Kirby Clash Deluxe, Kirby's Blowout Blast, Super Kirby Clash, and Kirby Fighters 2.
Unless stated otherwise, sub-games and games that expand on sub-games are non-canon in the Kirby universe.
In each Level, there are several bonus games in which you can Increase the number of lives you have remaining.
There are three different games. Try your best to increase the number of lives you have remaining! The number of stars shown on the Bonus Game instruction screen indicate the difficulty level of the game.”
