Stone Needle (also called Drill[1] or Power Drill[2]) is a Power Combo in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards.

Stone Needle is a Power Combo made by combining the Stone and Needle Copy Abilities. Kirby's arm transforms into a drill that carries him forward and can release the drill bit as a piercing projectile. When used in the air, Kirby's feet can also transform into a downward-aimed drill.

It is required to obtain the first Crystal Shard in Stage 4 of Shiver Star.

Move Controls Description
Stone Needle B Kirby's right arm transforms into a drill that carries him forward as it drills.
Drill Press Directional Pad Down + B in midair Kirby's feet transform into a drill that drills downward; Kirby falls faster when doing this.
Drill Bit Release B Kirby fires the drill bit, which continues to travel in the direction it was drilling and can pierce terrain. When performed from Stone Needle, Kirby's vertical velocity is reset; this does not occur with Drill Press.
