The Steelsnapper spits torpedoes. You may have already found that out the hard way. It's said that the Steelsnapper hides things inside clams. Its treasure must be in one of them!

Steelsnapper is a mid-boss that appears in Kirby Mass Attack. He appears in the Stage 5 of Dedede Resort.

Physical Appearance

Steelsnapper appears to be an eel made completely out of metal, with his head covered in spikes and has yellow glowing eyes. His body is divided into several segments made of small cubes with glass windows. The cubes occasionally turn pink and extract spines.

Attack Phases

Phase 1

In the first phase of the battle, Steelsnapper will use his signature attack, which is swimming throughout the battle field. He will also fire torpedoes that home in on the Kirbys. Another attack Steelsnapper uses is attempting to suck up the Kirbys. If he succeeds, the swallowed Kirby or Kirbys won't get KO'd, but will get trapped inside of one of Steelsnappers body segments.

Phase 2

In this phase, Steelsnapper will reveal each of his segments, most of which are pink and covered in spines, while some of them are not.

Phase 3

In the final phase of the battle, Steelsnapper, having all of his body segments covered in spines, will swim straight ahead and stick his head out in a certain area, and his remaining segments will become vulnerable.

How to Defeat

To defeat Steelsnapper, the Kirbys have to destroy each and every one of his body segments, without touching the pink spiny ones. They can also rescue the swallowed Kirby(s), if Steelsnapper has swallowed any.

Related Quotes

That mecha-snake swimming around this island is called Steelsnapper. If you get gulped down, don't give up. It takes him a while to digest anything. If a Kirby gets lodged in his stomach, you have time to pry him back out. So be sure to have a lot of Kirbys when you take on that snake.
