Spore Jellies are enemies appearing in the game Kirby's Epic Yarn and its remake, Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn. They only appear in the Stellar Way and Outer Rings levels.

Physical Appearance

Spore Jellies appear as tan jellyfish with four brown tentacles and orange and white button eyes.

Kirby's Epic Yarn and Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn

Spore Jellies attack by releasing five small spores. If Kirby or Prince Fluff come in contact with these spores, they will be hurt and lose beads. Spore Jellies are only encountered when Kirby is in Rocket form and can be defeated by shooting star projectiles at one.

Etymology

Spore Jelly's name comes from "Jelly," referencing its species as a jellyfish, and "Jr.," referencing its form of attack. Its Japanese name, Mokuragen (モクラゲン), comes from the Japanese word for jellyfish, "kurage" (クラゲ/くらげ/海月/水母).
