Runaway Parade Float is a large enemy in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. It cannot be inhaled and is also immune to most of Kirby's attacks.

Physical Appearance[]

Runaway Parade Car comes in four varieties: A UFO, a rocket, a robot, and a train. All car types have wheels and glow with neon hues at night.

The UFO is light gray with an orange lower rim. Its top portion has a face with large, swirly purple eyes and a wavy green mouth. It has an antenna with a green bulb and two satellite dishes pointing diagonally upward. Its rim is lined with purple and green dashes and dots.

The rocket is a horizontal spaceship with a white and red color scheme. It has a rounded nosecone, an angular fin, two sidemounted turbines, and an orange fire structure attached to the back. It also features a windshield on the front and two portholes on each side.

The robot is a tall, rectangular prism with a turquoise paintjob. It sports a headmounted satellite dish, thick arms with magnet-shaped hands, and a front-placed pressure gauge. Its face consists of two round panels with orange eye slits, a pointy nose, and a vast grin with yellow and orange stripes. Its body is covered in screws, orange stripes and dots, and orange gear patterns.

The train is a long locomotive with an indigo, white, pink, and light blue color scheme. It has two smokestacks, a large grill, external pipes, and two giant wheels in backmounted wheelwells. The front smokestack and the conductor's car have white smoke structures with colorful sparkles built onto them. The body of the train has a turquoise, pink, and white rainbow stretching across each side. The car's front has a face consisting of two pink eyes, a pointy nose, and slats resembling a toothy scowl.

Sizewise, the rocket is smallest, followed by the UFO, the robot, and finally the train.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land[]

Runaway Parade Cars appear in Welcome to Wondaria, Circuit Speedway, The Wondaria Dream Parade, and Forgo Park, as well as certain Treasure Roads. As inanimate objects, parade cars do not deliberately target Kirby and act more like a mobile obstacle to avoid than a foe to fight. They often move around in a single-file line with other cars, forming a short parade line; these parades travel on a set path at high speed, indiscriminately damaging both Kirby and any enemies that happen to collide with them. Endless strings of cars emerge from gates, roam the area they are in, and exit through other gates; these parades have gaps between them to allow Kirby passage, but he must move quickly to avoid getting hit. Alternately, the drill ability can be used to allow Kirby to safely pass underneath the cars without having to wait for a gap, or (topography permitting) Kirby can simply fly over the cars with the aid of the Tornado ability. Some Runaway Parade Cars move as singular units around a small area, never exiting through a gate.

Kirby cannot inhale or otherwise damage a Runaway Parade Car by any of his regular means; by using the Water-Balloon Mouth mode, however, he can launch a parade car away with a spray of water. This causes the car to short out and explode upon contact with a wall or other sturdy object, allowing Kirby to use them to destroy other Runaway Parade Cars or a damaged shutter door in The Wondaria Dream Parade.

Runaway Parade Cars can disrupt the lost ducklings that follow Kirby for a mission in The Wondaria Dream Parade, making it more difficult to lead them to their mother.
