• The dialogue that occurs in The Revenge can be considered a parody of Revenge of Meta Knight, being the only other occurrence of dialogue during gameplay. In the Japanese script, various lines are directly pulled from Revenge of Meta Knight or references to them; this is not very prevalent in the English translation, likely translating it in a vacuum without noting their nature as references to Revenge of Meta Knight.
  • Bandana Waddle Dee referring to King Dedede as "Great King" (大王さま) parallels the Meta-Knights referring to Meta Knight as "Lord Meta Knight" (メタナイトさま).
  • Bandana Waddle Dee's "Kabula has been defeated!" (カブーラーが撃墜されました!) parallel's Axe Knight's "Dyna Blade has been shot down!" (ダイナブレイドを撃墜しました!)
