A Rare Box is an item in the Kirby series debuting in Kirby Air Riders.
General Information[]
Red Boxes can be broken by running into them, Quick Spinning into them, or attacking them with an ability. Having a machine with high Offense and/or high speed will cause the boxes to break easier.

Rare Boxes, along with the Red, Blue, and Green Boxes appear only in City Trial. They seem to contain a variety of beneficial patches, offering up to seven stat-boosting patches with a chance to also give an attacking power-up to the rider.
A fake Rare Box
One of the field events that can occur randomly in City Trial is the appearance of many Rare Boxes on the map at once with many Rare Boxes being fake. These fake Rare Boxes notably have a more purplish gradient to them, violently exploding when broken which may break a machine in one hit.
