“ | These Rampaging Doomers are from another dimension. Instead of hunting spheres, someone is making them seek Fruit Fragments. Wait…haven't we met the big boss of all Doomers already?!” |
— VS Rampaging Doomers • Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe |
The Rampaging Doomers are bosses in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe. They are a gang of four Sphere Doomers that appear in Locandra Dimension, the fourth dimension of Magolor Epilogue: The Interdimensional Traveler.
Physical Appearance[]
The Rampaging Doomers have golden horns that seem to be made from Energy Sphere gears and purple bodies. Their eyes are yellow and the lower body has five tails, and their mouths contain chunks of a Fruit Fragment.
History[]
Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe[]
After his journey through the Locandra Dimension, Magolor enters a wide-open area where the Rampaging Doomers host their battle. From the background (to his left from his viewpoint), four purple Sphere Doomers fly into the battlefield. The quartet shriek and the battle commences, with Magolor emerging victorious and gaining the 4th and final Fruit Fragment. More of them later appear during the Crowned Doomer's boss fight.
Battle[]
The Rampaging Doomers can try to hit Magolor by ramming and charging, leaving behind purple and yellow clouds in their wake (these clouds explode a few seconds following their appearance). Only one or two will attack at a time, while their gang-mates fly around in the background. After the Rampaging Doomers' combined health bar drops down to half, the Rampaging Doomer on-screen will briefly lose control of its flying, but then restabilize before it summons the rest of them, and the now even-angrier Rampaging Doomers shriek to commence their second phase. From this point onwards in the battle, the Rampaging Doomers intensify their attacks. The Rampaging Doomers gain a new technique which has their swoop attack originate from the background, generating more exploding purple and yellow clouds, and more of them can be on-screen at a time, often for combined attacks, and their moveset expands, allowing for a black hole attack were they all show up on-screen to summon a vortex in the middle of the formation that they are in. Upon having their stamina completely drained, the Rampaging Doomers flail around before their bodies explode. Inhaling one of its projectiles during Kirby's bout through The True Arena will yield the Bomb ability.
