Pyred Dimension is the second level of Magolor Epilogue: The Interdimensional Traveler in Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, proceeding Aerogree Dimension and preceding Poseiblu Dimension. It consists of five stages and four Ordeal Doors, one of which is a hidden HAL Room.
General Information[]
Pyred Dimension takes inspiration from Dangerous Dinner's motif by having numerous pits and floors of lava, as well as Raisin Ruins' motif by containing lots of ruined pyramid-like structures. Random gears coated with harden lava can be seen in the background and foreground.
Magolor can access this second area by performing his regained Magolor Surge ability on a Windmill Switch after defeating Electricky Dooter. The stages in Pyred Dimension include large pits and introduces the Magic Bulb. Most gauntlets involving a Magic Bulb will require Magolor to quickly traverse the screen to protect the bulb making him rely on his new Magolor Surge and Magolor Cannon powers. Windmill Switches and Magic Energy potions occasionally start to appear after this point.
Stages[]
Stage 2-1[]
This stage consists of two areas. The first area requires Magolor to avoid the rising lava geysers before he reaches a large structure with a Windmill Switch at its base. By activating this switch, a bottom path will open where Magolor can face a handful of enemies for combos and extra magic points. The invincibility frames from Magolor Surge are required to enter and exit this route as Gordos block the narrow paths.
The second area introduces the first Special Skill Flask where Magolor can fill his Magic Energy meter to clear the path of some Scarfies. The next section features a few moving platforms with a multitude of enemies so Magolor must be careful not to fall off else he falls into the lava. A Windmill Switch can be activated to clear some blocks hiding magic points. Just before the stage's enemy gauntlet, there are a few spaced out platforms Magolor must traverse; a Magic Energy potion lies just under the gap of the final two platforms which Magolor can grab with Levitation. 650 magic points are required to achieve a platinum medal and the first time clear bonus is 300.
Stage 2-2[]
This stage also consists of two areas which box Magolor into rooms with its ceilings and walls. The first area introduces the Magic Bulb that Magolor must protect so it does not take too much damage and explode. The door to the second area appears right after protecting the first Magic Bulb. The second area pits Magolor with protecting three more Magic Bulbs, the final gauntlet being a mid-boss battle against King Doo. A small section before the final gauntlet involves a Windmill Switch which opens a gate to two food items. 700 magic points are required to achieve the platinum goal and the first time clear bonus is 350.
Stage 2-3[]
This stage consists of two areas. The first area introduces giant molten balls that travel across the screen. One optional section requires that Magolor to boost Magic Bomb to Level 2 so that the explosion can hit the bomb block. When the bomb block is hit, a path will open up to the bottom of the screen just above a giant pit and two giant molten balls will begin and continuously to spawn from the pit. Magolor must use Levitation and avoid the molten balls to reach the purple magic point at the bottom of the ladder. The next section includes several platforms, Mumbies, and Pactos over a long pit with molten balls emerging from them. If Magolor manages to hit the bomb block under the last Pacto, an opening to a small stash of magic points will appear.
The second area forces Magolor to use Magic Bomb to hit a bomb block which will destroy the flooring steel blocks. Once the blocks are destroyed over a gap, Magolor can fall in it to advance to the next section. The third time Magolor does this, he can also hit a Switch to open a gate for a few valuable magic points. After Magolor does this a fourth time, he must navigate in between two molten balls to reach the stage's enemy gauntlet. 800 magic points are required to achieve the platinum goal and the first time clear bonus is 400.
Stage 2-4[]
This stage consists of three areas: the first two areas are a reversed map of Stage 4 of Raisin Ruins as a dimension wall closes in from the right, and the third area is dedicated to an enemy gauntlet. The second area is notable for being the first time to introduce that Magolor Surge's bluster attributes can cool off fire blocks. A couple Windmill Switches are also present in this area. 800 magic points are required to achieve the platinum goal and the first time clear bonus is 450.
Stage 2-BOSS[]
Main article: Fiery Puffer |
The boss of Pyred Dimension is Fiery Puffer who is a fiery version of Fatty Puffer. When Fiery Puffer is defeated, he will drop a Fruit Fragment which will restore Magolor's ability to use Dimensional Vanish and Deadly Needles. 880 magic points are required to achieve the platinum goal and the first time clear bonus is 500.
Ordeal Doors[]
Each of these Ordeal Doors can be found by dropping down thin platforms. The first clear bonuses for each Ordeal Door is 200 magic points, except for the HAL Room which is 860 magic points.
Magolor Surge[]
Opens when Magolor Surge is at Level 2. This ordeal is a series of obstacles that Magolor Surge can bypass with its invincibility and short speed boost. Many pink switches that can be hit telegraphing that a gate will quickly close if Magolor does not use a Magolor Surge in time.
Magic Bomb[]
Opens when Magic Bomb is at Level 3. This ordeal pushes Magolor against the ceiling with heavy wind as it blows from below. The only way for Magolor to advance to the next room is for him to use Magic Bombs to hit the bomb blocks in the previous room. Many Key Dees can be defeated for Magolor to earn extra magic points, however most of them are protected by the bomb block-adjacent blocks so once Magolor hits the bomb block, Magolor must defeat the Key Dees before the chain reaction makes the Key Dees fall into the pit.
Upward Magic Sphere[]
Opens when Upward Magic Sphere is at Level 4. This ordeal is split into two main sections, both of them having Magolor use Upward Magic Sphere on some bomb blocks before the rising platform he is standing on crushes him. The final segment with the Star Blocks is optional, only rewarding Magolor with some magic points if he has enough time left.
HAL Room[]
Initially blocked by a one-way semisolid platform, Magolor has to find a small path at the very top-left of the hub stage, accessible after unlocking Locandra Dimension's Stage 4. After entering and reaching the end of the path, Magolor can return to the gap previously mentioned. If done correctly, explosions from Bomb Blocks can be heard when returning to the gap and the semisolid has been replaced by the two way variant.
In this stage, Magolor will fire himself out of cannons while trying to time hitting various Key Dees holding magic points. At the end of the stage are the letters "HAL" made out of Black Hole-patterned blocks. Magolor can use the Special Skill Flask located on the left of this section to use a Black Hole and destroy the blocks giving him a large combo.

Etymology[]
"Pyred" is a portmanteau of "pyro," which means "fire," referencing the elemental theme of the area; and "red," referencing the area's color theme.
In the Japanese name, プロムゾーン (Puromuzōn) is a portmanteau of a corruption of the word "pyro" (パイロ pairo) and the word "crimson" (クリムゾン kurimuzon).
Trivia[]
- The music for the first three stages is titled "Red Sands Remix" which is a medley of "Sandy Wilderness" and "Haldera Volcano."
