— Collect the Picture Pieces! • Kirby Star Allies loading screen |
Picture Pieces (called Illustration Pieces[1] on the official website) are collectible items in Kirby Star Allies. They function similarly to the keychains from Kirby: Triple Deluxe and the stickers from Kirby: Planet Robobot. Collected Picture Pieces are used to complete celebration pictures. Normal Picture Pieces fill in one blue space on a celebration picture, and rare Picture Pieces fill anywhere from one to three pink spaces; each celebration picture consists of eighty spaces.
Physical Appearance[]
A Picture Piece is a jigsaw puzzle piece with a screentone gradient design on it. Normal Picture Pieces are blue, while rare Picture Pieces glow with a rainbow of colors. Both variants have a bright glow around them and a white question mark in the center reminiscent of the one on stickers in Kirby: Planet Robobot. Rare Picture Pieces that have already been collected become black and white. If it is collected again, it will count as three normal Picture Pieces.

Trivia[]
- StreetPass Mii Plaza, a built-in application for the Nintendo 3DS family systems, features a game called Puzzle Swap that also utilizes collecting puzzle pieces, although each finished picture panel unlocks an animated diorama or cutscene related to the picture. There are eight panels that feature Kirby in them.
- Despite the fact that "The First Rival" uses character designs from Kirby's Dream Land, Kabula maintains her malicious face from Kirby Super Star Ultra.
- In "A Dream Above the Clouds", Nago is curiously missing out of all the Animal Friends.
- In "Super Ultra Battle!" Galacta Knight has the same blue-colored body as Meta Knight rather than his usual hot pink color scheme, keeping in-line with his official artwork for that game.
- "Bad Boss Brothers" excludes other forms of characters, namely the souls (Drawcia Soul, Marx Soul, Magolor Soul, Soul of Sectonia, Star Dream Soul OS, and Void Soul/Void). The three missing final bosses are forms of King Dedede or machines Dedede pilots: Robo Dedede, King D-Mind, and Dededestroyer Z.
- As a result, the only games with final bosses that are not properly represented are Kirby's Dream Course, Kirby Super Star Ultra, Team Kirby Clash Deluxe, and Kirby Battle Royale. Dedede represents every game in which he has been the final boss: Kirby's Dream Land, Kirby's Pinball Land, Kirby's Avalanche, Kirby's Block Ball, Kirby's Star Stacker, Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble, Kirby Fighters Deluxe, and Kirby's Blowout Blast.
