Owgulf is an enemy in Kirby's Return to Dream Land and Kirby's Dream Collection: Special Edition. It gives Kirby the Wing ability when inhaled.

The enemy is a red, spherical, owl-like bird, with orange wings, crest, tail feathers, and feet. Its two large, blue eyes are encircled with white markings. Owgulf can be found in high places, flying back and forth. If he sees Kirby or another player, he will stop momentarily to fire one to three feather arrows, much like Wing Kirby's own attack of the same variety.

Owgulf appears in the Wing Challenge of Kirby's Return to Dream Land. It appears in the New Challenge Stages in Kirby's Dream Collection: Special Edition as well. It appears in the Wing Challenge, as well as Magolor Race 2, 3, and EX.

In Kirby: Triple Deluxe, Birdon reprises its role as the supplier of the Wing ability. As such, Owgulf is absent from this game.

Etymology

The 'Ow' part of Owgulf's name most likely comes from owl, a bird that this enemy greatly resembles.
