“ | The runty Oohroo is always thrashing around with his arms. Don't tangle with him until he stops punching.” |
— Daroach • Kirby Mass Attack |
Oohroo is an enemy in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby Mass Attack.
Physical Appearance[]
Oohroo is a purple ape-like creature with tiny eyes and feet, a thick brow, and a greatly-accentuated chin. He has large hands that do not appear to be attached to his body.
Games[]
Kirby Mass Attack[]
Oohroo appears primarily in Green Grounds. He has a bad temper; after walking around, he occasionally fumes and thrashes his fists about. Any Kirbys that touch him in this state take damage and are launched backward. The enemy takes time to rest afterward, giving the Kirbys an opportunity to attack. He can be defeated by a small group of Kirbys or several attacks by one.
Daroach mentions that the Oohroo are determined when it comes to getting what they want, and that some are intelligent. This is evident in Stages 10 and 11 of Volcano Valley; the enemies desire to eat the bananas on the island (as they are said to be the sweetest in the universe),[1] so a group of them becomes technologically advanced and travels to Volcano Valley in a spaceship.
Oohroo also appears in the Field Frenzy, Kirby Brawlball, and Kirby Quest sub-games. In the latter, he appears alongside Bonkers, which suggests a relationship between the two.

- ↑ The bananas here in Volcano Valley are the sweetest in the universe. I bet the Oohroo from Green Grounds would love to get their hands on them. But those guys are pretty determined. Wouldn't surprise me if the Oohroo found a way to get to them.
