Turn into a missile and rocket into foes!
— Kirby Battle Royale - Kirby's 25th Anniversary Copy Ability Poll

Missile is a Copy Ability in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby & The Amazing Mirror.

Games

Kirby & The Amazing Mirror

Missile focuses on transforming Kirby into a rocket that explodes to deal damage. Upon making contact with an enemy, terrain, or by pressing the button again, Kirby explodes and returns to normal. Missile can destroy Metal Blocks, allowing it to solve puzzles and open up new pathways; it can also be used underwater, but only if transformed before entering, similarly to Stone. Missile can be obtained from the Bang-Bang enemy or the Bombar mid-boss or its missiles.

Missile's damage was changed from the Japanese version of the game. Missile's contact damage does 2/3 the damage from the Japanese version; its explosion damage is 1/2 the damage from the Japanese version.[1]

Kirby wears a simple red and yellow cap resembling the warhead of the missile when he is not in the actual missile form.

Techniques

Move Controls Description
Missile Transform B Kirby transforms into a missile. Upon transforming, the missile will be aimed diagonally upward
Change direction + (8 directions) Kirby changes which direction he is flying while in missile form.
Explode Hit enemies or press B Kirby explodes and returns back to normal. If the missile was traveling horizontally or diagonally, Kirby will be knocked backward 3 tiles.

Kirby: Canvas Curse

Missile is now guided by rainbow lines. Missile also no longer explodes upon making contact with enemies, only exploding upon hitting terrain. Tapping Kirby while transformed will simply transform him back, without an explosion. It is also the only Copy Ability that can destroy the Missile Ability Blocks. Ironically, it can no longer destroy Metal Blocks. Missile is obtained from Bang-Bang.

As Kirby: Canvas Curse only allows Copy Abilities to be used within the stages they are found, Missile can only be used in certain locations. Missile can be found in the following areas:
