Meteor Shower's Arrival is the forty-first stage in Kirby and the Forgotten Land - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World. It is the eighth stage of Natural Plains and is the Starry version of Point of Arrival. It precedes Lost in Alivel Mall.
General Information[]
After entering the stage, Kirby finds himself back on the beach he first landed in the New World on. However, many new crystals can be seen around the area. He can continue through a small forest, where he will find a Small Starryflower, which creates a crystallized path of Starry Coins and additional Starryflowers when touched. Noticeably, a large amount of ground is missing ahead, forcing Kirby to move across massive logs to reach the end of the forest. After exiting, Kirby witnesses a large crystal meteor crash into the rectangular building ahead. This crystallizes the surrounding area and causes a large amount of rubble to fall on the right path up ahead. To proceed, he can destroy a nearby Big Starryflower, which creates platforms Kirby can use to climb up the building's left side. After traversing the side of the building briefly, Kirby can find a spring where the meteor impacted the building. He is able to inhale it and use Spring Mouth to continue climbing while destroying Big Starryflowers. Eventually, he will reach the top floor, which contains a Door leading to the next section.
Here, Kirby will start by ascending on the outside of a normal building, with Small Starryflowers partially crystallizing it. Several small platforms jut in and out of the wall, which Kirby must bounce on before they disappear. After reaching the top, there is a small stone walkway ahead that leads to a Big Starryflower and a broken floor. If Kirby breaks the floor, he can find a small area behind a window where he must jump on several retracting platforms to reach a Bomb Block. Destroying it opens a part of the wall containing a Star Coin pile and a Gotcha Capsule. Whether or not Kirby collects them, he can then destroy the Big Starryflower to create some ledges on another building. Once Kirby climbs up another crystal platform, he can hop on a Warp Star to fly to a nearby building. It contains Bomb and Cutter Copy Essences and a Starry. If he approaches the Starry, some Crystal Awoofies will attack, followed by a battle against Crystal Wild Frosty. Following his defeat, Kirby can rescue the Starry and continue through another door.
Kirby now runs across several buildings’ rooftops, facing many enemies. They guard Big Starryflowers, which summon bridges to nearby rooftops when destroyed. After reaching the building with 2 Big Kabus, Kirby can jump on a small ledge to the right of the Kabus to find a Gotcha Capsule before proceeding across a crystallized platform to find another spring. After obtaining Spring Mouth once more, he must use its bouncing ability to reach the top of a massive Crystal Tortuilding to defeat it. Its defeat causes more crystal platforms to appear to the right. After moving east for a bit, however, Kirby may notice a ledge to the upper-left of the path. This leads to a puzzle where Kirby must jump over Fire Blocks with Spring Mouth, put out the fire with Ice, and use Spring Mouth again to jump up and collect a Starry. After returning to the normal path, Kirby must run past another Crystal Tortuilding to activate a Big Starryflower before climbing its summoned platforms to defeat the Tortuilding. After its defeat, Kirby can jump up some ledges on the right and left walls of nearby buildings to find a red Starry Coin. The ledge also contains a Small Starryflower that spawns some Durable Blocks, which hide a Gotcha Capsule. After collecting it, the goal can be reached directly ahead.
Missions[]
Italicized missions are hidden from view on the player's first playthrough.
- Clear the stage: When Kirby clears the stage for the first time, he will automatically save 3 Starries.
- Save the hidden Starries: 3 Starries are hidden throughout the stage, requiring Kirby to rescue them. Their locations are the following:
- In plain sight, retrievable after the Crystal Wild Frosty fight.
- Behind a wall, revealed after defeating the first Crystal Tortuilding.
- Hidden high above the ground in the third section, behind a grate sealed off by Fire Blocks.
- Get 5 red Starry Coins atop crystals: Several red Starry Coins are scattered throughout the stage on top of large crystal masses. Their locations are:
- After finding the spring, found on a large crystal to the right of the above platform.
- On top of the first building, on the upper-left side of its roof.
- In the second area, atop a pillar Kirby can reach by activating several Big Starryflowers.
- In the third area, found to the bottom-left of the third Starry's puzzle area.
- Right before clearing the stage, found after climbing some ledges on the right and left sides of two buildings.
- Make it over the high-rise sign to the rooftop: Right before jumping on the Warp Star in the second section, Kirby may jump over the building sign to the right. Doing so completes the mission and rewards him with a Small Starryflower that creates Starry Coins.
- Don't get bit by a big crystal turtle: Kirby should clear the stage without getting hit by either Crystal Tortuilding to complete this mission.
