Lava Magmers are large enemies that appear in Kirby Mass Attack. They first appear in Stage 1 of Volcano Valley.
Physical Appearance
Lava Magmer is a lava monster that hides in hot lava. It has large, piercing yellow eyes and a massive mouth. It also has hands positioned beside them, but they lack arms.
Behavior
Lava Magmer will hide somewhere in a lava source and wait for Kirby to come near. When he approaches, Lava Magmer will emerge from out of the lava to surprise Kirby. If Kirby touches one, he'll catch on fire. Lava Magmers seem more like an obstacle than an enemy, since it only pops out of lava as its movement. It can't be attacked by Kirby, even with the aid of his clones, but if a liquid ball is present, the Kirbys can push it into one, causing it to dry-up. Then, the Kirbys must, quickly, jump through it to defeat, otherwise it will break out of this phase.
Etymology
"Magmer" is a corruption of the word magma, which is liquid rock before it reaches the surface. Of course, these enemies are made of lava, which is essentially the same thing as magma, except it has reached the surface.

- Lava Magmer heavily resembles and attacks similarly to the Blargg enemies from the Mario series.
