Magolor Epilogue: The Interdimensional Traveler is an Extra Mode in Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe. It is unlocked by completing Story Mode. There are more than 20 stages alongside special Ordeal Doors to test Magolor's various powers.
Plot[]
Following the consequences of his defeat at the hands of Kirby, King Dedede, Meta Knight and Bandana Waddle Dee, an unconscious Magolor is banished to an unknown realm of Another Dimension alongside the shattered remnants of the Master Crown.
Magolor awakens at the edge of a mysterious region of Another Dimension, with tattered robes and drastically weakened powers. After exploring the area, Magolor stumbles across a Fruit Fragment, a blue-green crystal shaped like an apple slice that restores a portion of his missing powers. Upon coming across the Ethereal Altar that houses the Fruit Fragment, Magolor subsequently explores four other realms of Another Dimension - Aerogree Dimension, Pyred Dimension, Poseiblu Dimension, and Locandra Dimension - to find the remaining Fruit Fragments and recover the rest of his abilities.
Upon collecting the fifth and final Fruit Fragment in Locandra Dimension, the five Fruit Fragments combine to form a Gem Apple Seed that rests atop the Ethereal Altar. Just as Magolor approaches it, however, the remnants of the Master Crown appear and corrupt the Gem Apple Seed with their power, using it as the base for a massive Doomer called Crowned Doomer. Magolor defeats the Crowned Doomer and frees the Gem Apple Seed, but the Master Crown immediately combines with the seed itself to transform into a towering, monstrous tree-like entity. With his restored abilities, Magolor weakens the Master Crown in combat before taking up the sword lying nearby. Using his magic, he forges an Ultra Sword of his own to smite the beast, destroying the Master Crown for good. A new dimensional rift to the outside world appears before Magolor: he wipes away his tears before entering the rift.
During the credits, it is revealed that the rift that Magolor escaped through sent him to a parallel universe known as the Dream Kingdom; additionally, his tattered robes had transformed into white and green garments, and a sprouting Gem Apple appeared alongside him. Having redeemed himself, Magolor plants the Gem Apple and establishes a Shoppe in the Dream Kingdom's Castle Village to do business with the residents of Dream Kingdom, setting the stage for Team Kirby Clash Deluxe and Super Kirby Clash.
Gameplay[]
Initially, Magolor is significantly weakened; his only attack is a Magic Sphere with little range and power, and both his health and levitation time are significantly lower than usual. In order to restore his powers, Magolor must obtain Magic Points, which allow the player to upgrade Magolor's Magical Skills in the overworld. Magic Points can be found around the overworld and the stages, taken from defeated enemies, awarded for maintaining a high combo of hits on enemies, or taken from Magic Bulbs after defending them from enemies. Magolor also unlocks new abilities by collecting Fruit Fragments at the end of each area.

Trivia[]
- Magolor Soul appears in the opening flashback cutscene rather than Magolor's final form in Story Mode.
- The first letter of each area, in the order they are visited, forms an acronym spelling "APPLE", referring to the apple-shaped Fruit Fragments and the Gem Apple.
- In the German version, the first letters of each area spell "APFEL", which translates to "apple" in German.
- In the Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese versions, the first letters of each area spell "FRUTA", which translates to "fruit" in both Spanish and Portuguese.
- In the French version, first letters of each area spell "POMME", which translates to "apple" in French.
- Each area's music is a remix of music from the corresponding story mode area.
- The bosses in this mode have a Story Mode colored healthbar, however, when fought in The True Arena, the colors change to Extra Mode colors to match up with the other bosses.
- Magolor Epilogue features no water. The Extra Stage room based on Dangerous Dinner Stage 3's dimensional rift room notably removes all the water that was in the original, replacing it with platforms instead.
