Magolor Cake is a Battle Royale stage in Kirby's Dream Buffet.
General Information[]
Magolor Cake is a multilayered cake shaped and decorated to resemble Magolor. It is roughly ovular in shape with two points at the top. A biscuit beltbuckle sits toward the middle of the stage, and two waffle bridges form his mittens. These connect the left and right sides of the main Magolor platform to cakes shaped like gears. These gear cakes have a rough texture and include frosted blue platforms to fill in the holes at their centers.
The Kirbys start on the main platform, alongside two Food Boxes. Food Boxes can appear on Magolor's face, forehead, stomach, cap points, and mittens, as well as on the gears. As the combatants battle each other and collect falling strawberries, they must be aware of the usual Battle Royale gimmicks and hazards:
- A basket of strawberries occasionally drifts over the stage, scattering berries if it moves suddenly or is bumped by a Kirby.
- A Server Hand holding tongs attempts to home in on and capture a Kirby, which if successful, results in that Kirby losing strawberries.
- A Server Hand holding the Dream Fork stabs part of the stage and lifts it away, KOing a Kirby if he is dragged off-screen. In this stage, the centers of each gear can be removed.
- An overtime extension can add 15 seconds at the end of the round.
Additionally, Magolor Cake has its own gimmicks: The gears can spin with moderate speed, and the waffle bridges can slide up and down. These movements may trip up an unsuspecting player, especially in the heat of battle.
When time is up, the Kirbys are weighed to determine the winner. In a Gourmet Grand Prix, some receive strawberry bonuses based on their performance.
