- Though this is not exactly a Copy Ability, in the opening scene for Kirby's Dream Collection Special Edition, Kirby starts in his 8-bit graphics from Kirby's Adventure; but after inhaling and swallowing a star, he changes to resemble his appearance in Kirby's Return to Dream Land.
- In contrast, in the completed Kirby's 20th Anniversary panel in the StreetPass Mii Plaza game Puzzle Swap, Kirby starts with modern graphics but swallows an 8-bit star, reverting to his 8-bit graphics.
