Labor Daze (Dedede's Terrible Factory in Japan) is the 26th (28th in Japan) episode of the anime.
Synopsis
King Dedede decides to open a factory to manufacture goods, while giving the workers free Dedede-branded merchandise in a rare gesture of generosity. People become obsessed about the whole scheme and the merchandise and start working a lot more, heavily polluting Cappy Town and not knowing that they are actually creating parts for something more sinister than the merchandise they're obsessed about.

King Dedede orders a kit from Customer Service so he can build his own monster, and he suggests that he should trick the cappies into building his own monster, so King Dedede opens the DDD Factory.
Kirby and friends work at an assembly line!
He explains that if you work, you get TVs, Vacuum Cleaners, Fans etc. so everyone in town except for Professor Curio, Lady Like, Sir Ebrum, Meta Knight and Tiff started working. Tiff knew that it was just a scam, and she found out the perfect way to convince Tuff, Kirby, and Lololo and Lalala that it is just a trick.
It's a smoke factory
Tiff comes to work with Tuff, Kirby and Lololo and Lalala, and convinces them that it's weird that everyone's working for Dedede, and they jump onto the assembly line! They see that King Dedede has tricked them into building a monster, and the Robot Ice Dragon attacks. Luckily, Kirby sucks up some icy wind and becomes Ice Kirby!
After the factory explodes, Tiff, Tuff, Kirby and Professor Curio are outside checking some trees. Kirby picks a flower, and a bee stings him.

Trivia
- The scene where Kirby is caught in the gears of the machine is a reference to the movie Modern Times, where a similar situation happens to Charlie Chaplin's character.
- In the original, upon seeing the environmental destruction caused by the factory, Tiff says it will be a 'silent spring'. This is a reference to the book Silent Spring which documented the detrimental effects of pollution on the environment.
