Koozer is a stronger version of Bronto Burt. Koozer is a bit fatter than Bronto Burt and has a strange expression on its face, along with what appears to be a beak for a mouth. It not only flies faster than Bronto Burt, but also takes away two HP if it hits Kirby. Otherwise, it behaves exactly the same. Koozer appears in the Extra mode in Kirby's Dream Land (replacing Bronto Burt) and in Revenge of the King in Kirby Super Star Ultra.
As seen in Revenge of the King, Koozers are also notorious for appearing in swarms and rushing at Kirby, much like Bronto Burts sometimes do. This is also seen in the opening cutscene for Purple Plants, where Koozers, along with another crow-like enemy, Croucars, appear in a large group and rush him.
Physical Appearance
Koozer is a strange enemy resembling either a mosquito or crow. Its body seems to be covered with either dark purple feathers or skin (though initially Koozers were black in its original artwork). It has rosy cheeks and a vacant expression on its face (due to the fact that Koozer is cross-eyed). Koozer has elements of both insects and birds, as it has paper-thin translucent insectoid wings, yellow shoes and a pale yellow beak or proboscis.
Trivia
- Although Koozer gives no ability when swallowed, a non-canon German comic featured Kirby inhaling a Koozer which granted him flight.
- Koozer appeared in the Japanese commercial for Kirby's Adventure, depite not appearing in the actual game.
