Kirby Takes The Cake 1

Everyone runs away from Kirby.

The episode starts off with Kirby sleeping in Torkori's nest. He wakes up, jumps off the tree, and rushes excitedly into Cappy Town. Kirby then realises that everyone is talking privately. Kirby then rushes to see everyone, also yelling out a poyo. Everyone screams and runs away from Kirby to hide. Tuff laughs and says that it is fun and that he bets Kirby doesn’t know anything about his surprise party. Tiff says probably and then states that Kirby hardly knows anything. Tuff, Iroo, Spikehead, and Honey all say that’s true and Kirby watches them, confused.
Kirby Takes The Cake 2

Everyone is working hard outside the mayor's house.

After the intro, Kirby is shown standing on top of a sheep, watching all the work being done at the mayor’s house. Tuggle and Melman are hammering, Curio is chopping logs, and Mayor Len Blustergas is carrying things around. Kirby yells out another poyo and the Mayor screams and blows his whistle to call the sheep in. The sheep all run to their owner, trampling on Kirby in the process. The sheep are then shown crushing Curio, Tuggle, and Melman in a massive heap of them, covering all of the work. The mayor laughs and kicks a star under the sheep, causing another sheep to fly out of the flock the other side. The mayor then says to Kirby that he didn’t see him there. The

mayor picks Kirby up and says that this is no place for him. Curio says that’s right and says to run along. The mayor then tells Kirby to shoo. Kirby walks away confused and the mayor says bye-bye. The mayor sighs and the sheep crash on the ground.

At his restaurant, Kawasaki is preparing food for Kirby’s celebration. He picks up a watermelon, and notices something strange behind the other. Kirby appears, causing Kawasaki to throw the watermelon in the air. Kirby gobbles it up and Kawasaki says that Kirby can’t be in his kitchen and throws him out. Kirby lands on his side, confused again. Kirby then walks through town past Chief Bookem, who sees him, screams and blows his whistle. Everyone runs indoors, slamming their doors shut. Kirby turns to Chief Bookem, who says he has lots to do today and has to grab a couple of donuts.

Escargoon is then seen running to report to Dedede. He falls over, hurting his “nose” in the process. Dedede says to keep it down and that he’s trying to work on his tan. Escargoon says that while Dedede is baking his belly the Cappies are plotting behind his back.
Kirby Takes The Cake 4

Dedede and Escargoon spy on everyone.

Dedede is then confused and they go to watch everyone. Iroo and Spikehead are shown carrying gunpowder. Escargoon looks up from the bush he is hiding in and says they are packing explosives. Dedede looks up and says that is a weapon of mass DDDestruction. Later, Dedede and Escargoon are shown hiding under sheep watching the work being done at the mayor’s house from the same angle Kirby was earlier. They look inside Chief Bookem’s house while hiding under flowerpots. Buttercup is shown knitting a decoration and Mabel is cutting fabric while another Cappy is holding the fabric for her.

Kawasaki is then shown preparing food in his kitchen. He walks out of a door, and Dedede and Escargoon are shown watching him from a window in the door. Dedede then says they are planning a celebration. Escargoon asks what kind of celebration. He says that it isn’t his birthday and says that no-one would throw Dedede a party. Escargoon then says that he doesn’t know why they would be having a shin-dig. Dedede says that he does and says that they’re plotting a revolution. He then says to go back to the castle. Escargoon follows him. They spy one more time, this time on Tiff, Tuff, and their friends. Tiff is cutting paper with some scissors and then notices something at the window. She looks at the window and Dedede and Escargoon duck down. Tiff then asks Tuff if he has the feeling that someone is spying on them. Tuff says who would spy on them. In the throne room, Dedede says that the whole town is revolting. Escargoon agrees and Dedede says they are trying to depossess him and tarnish the golden reputation of the whole Dedede Dynasty. He calls them ingrateful ingrates. Escargoon then says that they’re doing that after all that Dedede’s done for them. Dedede growls and says that he’ll step out those double-crossers and asks how the Cappies can DDDethrone him. Escargoon says that he hopes that Dedede isn’t wrong. Dedede then says that he isn’t wrong.
