Kirby's Air Grind is a sub-game in Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land. It replaces the sub-game Egg Catcher from Kirby's Adventure.

Game

The four Kirbys grind rainbow colored rails while riding the Warp Star. By pressing Button A Kirby will grind the rail and gain speed. Kirby can't grind the black and spiky parts of the rail and if he tries he will lose speed instead. If Kirby starts grinding at the end of a spike strip with correct timing, he will gain a speed boost - the amount depending on timing accuracy. The rate meter tracks how much the player makes contact with rails in a single race, not including black rails. "Rate" has no precedence in determining the winner in the event of a tie.
