Games[]

Kirby's Dream Buffet[]

Jelly makes its debut in Kirby's Dream Buffet. It can be obtained by eating a jelly Copy Food from a Food Box. When used, it allows Kirby to slide along the ground as a gelatinous blob, passing through obstacles, enemies, and attacks before returning to normal after some time. Jelly can also be used to quickly traverse any type of terrain. It is especially useful for passing underneath gates that must normally be broken. Although it grants invulnerability, it is the only Copy Food Ability that cannot deal damage. It can still be used in Battle Royales to avoid attacks while safely gathering fruit.

Pressing the Copy Food Ability activation button while Jelly is already active will drop a glob of slime behind Kirby, which can slow down opponent Kirbys who roll onto it. However, doing this will cause the ability's time limit to expire more quickly.

Trivia[]

  • Jelly's appearance may be a reference to the Slime, the first opponent in the Computer Virus boss fight from Kirby Super Star. This is supported by its artwork using a greenish color.
