In the Presence of the King is the thirty-second stage in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. It is the sixth stage of Redgar Forbidden Lands and the sixth boss stage of the game. It succeeds The Beast Pack's Final Stand and precedes Lab Discovera. It requires 32 Waddle Dees to unlock.
General Information[]
Kirby enters a mechanical Beast Pack base and descends an elevator with Copy Essences. At the bottom, he finds a struggling King Dedede. When the king turns around, he reveals a mask that he cannot remove in spite of his efforts. His eyes flash red as he pulls out two mallets and attacks Kirby.

Forgo Dedede attacks by using a variety of hammer techniques, like swinging them to create tornadoes or pounding the platform to generate fiery tornadoes. He also slams the platform to create shock waves and inhales violently. In his second phase, he gets on all-fours and charges around the platform like an animal.
When Forgo Dedede is defeated, his mask breaks and Kirby is rewarded with the captured Waddle Dees. Kirby and the Waddle Dees wake Dedede up, and the now-sensible king greets the pink puff with an excited smile. As Dedede and the Waddle Dees celebrate, Kirby notices an elevator door open ominously behind them. The base then shakes as nine Beast Pack enemies rush their position. Kirby, Dedede, and two of the three Waddle Dees retreat to the elevator; one trips on the way, leaving him helpless against the stampede. Dedede runs back to save him as Kirby holds the door. With no time to flee, the king pitches the Waddle Dee at the closing elevator and prepares to fight the horde single-handedly.
