Stage 5
This stage starts inside of a forest. A wooden Heave Ho Block blocks the way, but it can be broken simply by flicking the Kirbys at it. Afterwards, the Kirbys can continue on to face an Oorhoo and then activate a platform that descends when standing upon it. Further along the path, the player must flick the Kirbys at a metal Heave Ho Block being pushed by a new enemy, Schnoz, until they crush the foe. Another weight-sensitive platform and Oorhoo are ahead. The Kirbys will soon come across a cannon that, depending on how many Kirbys the player currently has, will determine whether it can reach a lower path containing a medal. (If there aren't enough Kirbys, they will only be able to access an empty top path.) Whichever path is taken, a Big Schnoz will also push a metal Heave Ho Block. When defeated, the Kirbys can move upwards to find a Recovery Ring and a door to the right.

Green Grounds is the first island in Kirby Mass Attack, coming before Sandy Canyon. It has a total of 11 stages, one of them being a boss stage. The boss of the area is Whispy Woods.

General Information

Green Grounds is a peaceful plain in some of its regions. It has flat, grassy landscapes along with trees and bushes. It also has jungle environments that's infested with wild animals such as Snoozroots, Spideroos, and Slugoos. Its most native creature is Beanbon. Rain occurs along the pathway to the deep forests.

Stages

Stage 1

This is the very first level in the game. Because of this, there are many speech bubbles to give Kirby information on controls, movement, and how to defeat enemies. Beanbon is the first enemy the player will meet. In the middle of the stage, a guard room is visited, where three Beanbons will attack, one at a time. After they're defeated, a door will appear for Kirby (and his clones if he has any) to enter. Then, the player will exit the guard room and can continue. There are some Birdees outside to throw explosive coconuts. Later, an unstable tree with fruit is seen. It can be knocked down by making the Kirbys jumping through it. A few Snoozroots appear afterward. Finally, the Kirbys will shoot out of a cannon, hitting Big Birdee, who was delivering fruit. The Kirbys can then make their way to the goal.

Differences in the demo version

  • The demo version has only one medal to collect, replacing all others with Maxim Tomatoes.
  • The Recovery Ring as well as the sign indicating its function are both absent.
    • The shortcut door is also absent.
  • The Autocannon sequence is skipped entirely.

Stage 2

In this stage, the player will encounter tipping plants for their first time. The stage consists of many tipping plants. The player will also see purple Snoozroots and Oohroos for thier first time as well. The first area contains 1 of 3 medals and a Fruit Block, and three Melody Switches. Then there is a door to the next room.

In the second area, there is a secret door.

Secret Room: Two Twistys and a bunch of plants that act like dominoes. At the end of the plant row there is the second medal.

After the secret area, there are some Oohroos, a giant tipping plant, and a Key and Treasure Chest containing the last medal. Then the player can make their way to the Goal Door.

Stage 3

The first room is simple; there is a Beanbon and a switch that opens the pathway to the door. The Kirbys must run to the door or they will not make it.

In the next room there are many Spideroos and a switch that reveals apples, which the Kirbys must run to collect them all. Next is a cannon to the next area.

The next area is in the treetops, with three Birdees and a fight with Big Birdee The strategy to defeating her is to bring her down three times while watching out for the spiked balls that she drops. After the fight, the Kirbys fall into the next area along with Big Birdee, who flies away.

In the next area, there are some Spideroos and a Spideroo web, wich has a ball that the Kirbys may pull down to get fruit. In the tree, there is a secret door.

Secret Room: A switch that reveals two lines of apples. The top line has the first medal at the end of it.

Next are two Spideroo webs, one of which needs all 10 Kirbys to be broken, containing the second medal. Next is a room with many Spideroos, the first has the last medal in its jaws. After the medal is taken, the player can kill the rest of the Spideroos and go to the goal.

Stage 4

The first area takes place in a rainy field. The player will see a Big Beanbon and a Jerkweed. However, the player should make their way above the Jerkweed onto a platform with some apples and Twistys, leading to the first medal. The Kirbys then should pull the Jerkweed and fall into the next area.

The next area takes place in a cave. In it are some propeller plants with fruits and the third one holding a secret door.

Secret Room: Many propeller plants with fruit. One has a Maxim Tomato.

In the next room is a Jerkweed which will switch from green to spiky. Grab it when it's green to get to the next area.

The next room has four Slugoos. On each side of the room are two Star Blocks each. The player is HIGHLY recommended not to go to the left side and use the cannon, otherwise they will miss everything in the area. Instead, the player should go to the right and collect everything. There is also a Recovery Ring. The Kirbys will encounter a Battybat. Killing it will reveal four Jerkweeds. The last one gives a medal, and the second gives a cannon. The Kirbys can use the cannon to the next area.

The next area is just like the first; a rainy meadow. There are three Turnips, the one that requires 10 Kirbys gives a medal. Next is a Jerkweed that slides side to side. Pull the Jerkweed when its in the middle row of blocks to get a medal. Lastly, two Big Beanbons guard the Goal Door.

Stage 5

This stage starts inside of a forest. A wooden Heave Ho Block bars the way, but it can be broken simply by flicking the Kirbys at it. Afterwards, the Kirbys can continue on to face an Oorhoo and activate a platform that descends when standing upon it. Further along the path, the player must flick the Kirbys at a metal Heave Ho Block being pushed by a new enemy, Schnoz, until they crush the foe. Another weight-sensitive platform and Oorhoo are ahead. The Kirbys will soon come across a cannon that can reach a lower path containing a medal, but only if there are enough Kirbys (they will otherwise only be able to access an empty top path). Whichever path is taken, a Big Schnoz will also push a metal Heave Ho Block. When defeated, the Kirbys can grab a medal and move upwards to find a Recovery Ring and a door to the right.

The Kirbys will enter an underground area with several Slugoos, Jerkweeds, and Snoozroots disguised as Jerkweeds. One of the Jerkweeds contains Jumbo Candy, which allows the player to easily pass a section where Snoozroots must be defeated in order to progress in the level and also to break through some metal blocks for another medal. The third medal can be obtained by defeating the nearby Schnoz before entering the door at the end of the path.

The door leads to a weight-sensitive tower inhabited by Snoozroots and a Jerkweed containing the fourth medal. Upon heading to the right, if there are currently 10 Kirbys, they can descend a designated platform and reach the final medal. Entering the door at right leads to a forest path where the Kirbys will encounter a Giant Schnoz pushing the Goal Door away. The player must grab hold of the enemy and tap the Kirby icon that appears until it is defeated, allowing the Kirbys to finish the stage.

Stage 6

Right away, the Kirbys will bounce on green mushrooms as they enter this forest stage. Two new enemies called Warwiggles, fruit, and a wall made of Star Blocks are all found along the path. The player must then carry the Kirbys to a platform high above, where he/she will have a first encounter with a Moggy containing both fruit and bomb segments before retreating into a dirt ceiling. The Kirbys can then continue along the path until they find a Big Beanbon jumping across some mushrooms. The mushrooms will bounce the Kirbys backwards, however, so they will have to be carried over them.

Secret Room: The middle mushroom will be orange and have a star emblem on top. Should the Kirbys land on this particular mushroom, it will skyrocket the Kirbys into a bonus room where they must grab bubbles containing fruit and a medal while avoiding bombs before grabbing the bubble containing the door back to the stage.

Further on, another Moggy (with a medal in one segment) and Warwiggle will appear. Beyond them is the Recovery Ring and a door. Two Slugoos will be patroling the ceiling, and a skull key can be found in a Star Block formation also on the ceiling. Grabbing it will lead to a fight with the Skullys for a Skull Treasure Chest with a medal. To the right, the Kirbys will find the rare Spinwheel Flowers. Most will yield fruit when defeated, but one is a disguised Snoozroot, while another will have a harmful spiky petal. The latter contains a medal, however. A Warwiggle with fruit, bombs, and another medal is found soon after, as well as a Slugoo on a mushroom wall.

The Kirbys will have to be carried to an upper platform, where they can fight another Slugoo and another Recovery Ring and run across the path, where Bombmoles holding signs will retreat into dirt ceilings. They seemingly guide the Kirbys to a switch the player would assume would grant acces to a nearby door, but the switch in fact destroys the ground below the Kirbys, forcing them down a pit and into a battle with the mid-boss Moley. Bombmoles and Pricklemoles will assist Moley, but once he is defeated, the Goal Door will appear.
