The Grasshopper Eavesdropper is a robotic grasshopper invented by Escargoon. It appears in four Kirby: Right Back at Ya! episodes: The Flower Plot, War of the Woods, The Meal Moocher, and Shell-Shocked.
Appearance
The Grasshopper Eavesdropper looks and sounds like a real green grasshopper with orange eyes and black antennae. It also has wings, which can be seen whenever the it jumps.
Function
This robotic insect is controlled by a remote controller. It can hop and make grasshopper sounds. It has a tiny camera in its eyes so it can spy on anything around, so King Dedede and Escargoon use it to spy on Kirby and his friends. It also has a self-destruct feature for emergencies. Most of the time, the Grasshopper Eavesdropper is used when Kirby and co. visit Whispy Woods Forest to help with the king's plan of destroying the woods and build his own Country Golf Club.
