Freezy Rex^[1] is a mid-boss in Kirby Mass Attack in the ninth level of Dedede Resort. It pursues Kirby from the stage's beginning to its end, being so large and tough that it breaks through anything with ease in a manner similar to Heavy Mole in Kirby's Adventure (and its remake). Freezy Rex damages any Kirby who touches its massive jaw.

Near the end of the level, the Kirbys finally drop the floor out from underneath the creature by activating a switch.

Physical Appearance

Freezy Rex's name and appearance are based off a tyrannosaurus rex, but its chin is greatly exaggerated. Freezy Rex appears to be made from frozen snowballs or globular ice crystals.

Trivia

Despite being a mid-boss, Freezy Rex does not appear in Survival Rush. This may be because its encounter takes up an entire stage.
Freezy Rex is one of the few characters in the Kirby series capable of defeating Gordos.
The theme when encountering Freezy Rex is a remake of the Frozen Hillside stage theme from Kirby Air Ride.
The fact that Freezy Rex is defeated by activating a switch may be a reference to Bowser from the Super Mario series, as he is defeated in a similar manner.
