Freezo is an enemy in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby's Epic Yarn.
Physical Appearance[]
Freezo is a small, light blue creature with a snout. He wears a red Santa Claus hat and has two pink button eyes, one on either side of his head. His appearance is similar to Shotzo's.

Kirby's Epic Yarn and Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn[]
Freezo appears exclusively in the Evergreen Lift stage. He attacks by firing small snowballs at Kirby and Prince Fluff. This enemy can only fire snowballs horizontally, so standing atop him presents no danger. Coming into contact with Freezo's projectile, however, freezes Kirby or Prince Fluff; they must mash buttons to free themselves. No damage is taken and no Beads are dropped when the player is frozen, although he will be left vulnerable to being crushed or attacked by another enemy. Freezo can be defeated by transforming into the Weight form above him or by hitting him with a yarn ball projectile, as he is immune to the Yarn Whip attack.
Etymology[]
Freezo's name is a portmanteau of the words freeze, referring to his icy nature, and Shotzo, referring to his cannon-like traits.
Trivia[]
- Freezo's description in Patch Plaza is misleading; it suggests that he freezes Kirby or Prince Fluff on contact, when it is actually his projectiles that freeze on contact.
- As a snowy enemy wearing a festive red hat, Freezo is the first character in the Kirby series to deliberately reference Santa Claus iconography in-game. Characters who wear a similar hat, such as Poppy Bros. Jr. and Poppy Bros. Sr., do not thematically connect to Santa Claus.
