The Forgo Horns is the thirty-seventh stage in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. It is the fourth stage of Isolated Isles: Forgo Dreams, and is unlocked by clearing the Forgo Park, and its own completion unlocks the Forgo Wasteland. During his journey through this stage, which is the dream version of the Winter Horns from the main game, Kirby finds 51 pieces of Leongar's shattered soul. An illusory copy of King Dedede, called Phantom King Dedede, makes his lair at the end of this level.

Description[]

The Forgo Horns has a green tint, combining various sections of stages of the Winter Horns from the main game into a single level.

Starting Area[]

This area is based on the first stage of the Winter Horns, Northeast Frost Street, containing a total of twelve soul pieces.

South Half[]

At the start of the level, Kirby will be dumped into the middle of a city that has been covered with snow. There are fences that he can dig under using the Drill ability; conveniently, a single Digguh can be found near the start of the level. Farther north and to the west, there is a secret area that Kirby can access using (again) the Drill ability. A staircase lies a head with a Bomb Block that can be used to destroy part of the wall, revealing a soul piece. Six soul pieces are encountered here.

North Half[]

Just to the north of the staircase, Kirby will find an area with pits as well as a soda machine to the west that he can stuff into his mouth, allowing him to become Vending Mouth Kirby and shoot soda cans as projectiles, though his supply of soda cans with this soda machine is 3. Two Kabus circle around a pole to the east; a raised ledge with a soul piece can be found to the right of their area, while another soul piece can be found to the south of the soda machine. Farther north are two ice strips. A Warp Star that leads to the next section can be found at the far north, and to the right is a secret area that can only be accessed if Kirby fires a soda can at some metal boxes blocking it off. This area also has six soul pieces.

Frozen Metro Area[]

Kirby will be dumped into this section following his departure from the starting area. The Frozen Metro Area contains eight soul pieces, replicating the Winter Horns' second level, Metro on Ice, and has frozen water that must be avoided. Icicles will fall down from the ceiling; this can be avoided by simply getting out of their way. There are also some construction barriers that block Kirby's path and some nails that can be activated with the Hammer ability, though Kirby will need to charge his hammer to activate a few which have been frozen. Kirby will also need to deal with pillars that collapse when he gets close to them. The southeastern area of the map has a secret area that Kirby can access with a charged Hammer Flip; this area has a soul piece. When Kirby enters the tunnel at the northernmost section of the map, he will be transported to the next area.

Gusty Area[]

This area replicates the Winter Horns' third stage, Windy, Freezing Seas, and contains ten soul pieces. As Kirby traverses through this area, he must avoid getting knocked into the freezing water by the winds that blow through the region. Big, crimson Shotzos that shoot fiery cannonballs can be found here. Kirby can also find an ice cream cone here that can be stuffed into his mouth to become Cone Mouth Kirby; this becomes necessary to damage a pipe to create a water spray that he can use to continue in this area. To the east of that duct, Kirby can find a second pipe to rupture in order to reach one of the soul pieces.

Boss Rush Bridge[]

Replicating the Winter Horns' fourth stage, The Battle of Blizzard Bridge, this section contains seven soul pieces. Kirby starts at the far south, with the bridge ruptured a bit north of the area. He must cross the gap by floating or using the platforms; upon landing, he will encounter some Buffahorns. After getting past them, Kirby can find a secret area to the right, said area containing a soul piece. After another gap in the bridge, Kirby will be ambushed by Gigant Edge. After Kirby defeats Gigant Edge, Fleurina will jump into the fight, with Bonkers following after she falls. After Kirby takes down Bonkers, he will have to deal with Mr. Frosty. Every time Kirby gets attacked by these bosses, an orange rhombus-shaped gem will be swept into the area; if Kirby misses any of them, he will be locked out of getting the treasure chest that spawns north of the arena, regardless whether he grabs the orange rhombus-shaped gem at the north of the arena.

Boat River Area[]

This section has nine soul pieces to collect. Kirby must use a boat to get through this area without falling into the water; as with the Gusty Area, if he falls in, Kirby will freeze, getting hurt in the process.

Twin Boats Section[]

This is the southernmost section, having two soul pieces. After Kirby leaves the bridge, he will land in one of two boats. He must switch between them to dodge some Gordo Bars that haunt the area. Thankfully, the Gordo Bars do not move from their spots. Balloon-Meisters haunt this area, attempting to throw their bombs onto the boats so Kirby would get blown up and take damage, though he can use ranged attacks to negate this threat.

Spinning Gordo Bars Zone[]

A bit north of that, more Gordo Bars can be found. This time, the Gordo Bars spin, so Kirby has to be more careful dodging their thorny bodies. A single soul piece can be found here. This is followed by a section where five regular Gordos haunt one path; Kirby must get onto the opposite boat, then quickly switch back to avoid getting smashed by a boulder. To the opposite side of the surviving boat to the smashed boat is a platform that has a hoop that Kirby can stuff into his mouth, allowing him to use his body as a sail and steer his last boat through the river.

Gnawcodile Zone[]

Gnawcodiles haunt this area of the river, though Kirby can avoid their attacks by driving his boat quickly through their territory, and they can also be disposed of by a ramming attack. More stationary Gordo Bars can be found here, and must be jumped over as Kirby heads through. After a bending section of the river with two soul pieces, Kirby can find a ledge that contains a soul piece; that makes three total soul pieces for the Gnawcodile Zone.

Boat Finish Zone[]

After the Gnawcodile section, Kirby will reach this room, which boasts the Warp Star that leads to the boss area. There is a fan that he can activate with the hoop in his mouth, opening a gate that blocks off the room with the last three soul pieces in the area.

Citadel Area[]

This is where Kirby squares off with Phantom King Dedede. He will land on a staircase that leads into a citadel, with some Copy Abilities to his right and a Maxim Tomato to his left. Ahead of him is the citadel itself. Once Kirby makes his way inside, Phantom King Dedede attacks and the front door will be blocked off. Several Primal Awoofies can be found here, where they assist the illusory king during the fight, though they can be easily dispatched. Once Kirby destroys Phantom King Dedede, he can grab the final five soul pieces and finish the level.
