Floaty Woods is a large enemy in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby Mass Attack. He is a member of the Whispy Woods family.
Physical Appearance[]
Floaty Woods looks like a generic sentient tree, about the same size as a Twiggy Woods. Sporting many of the same features as the aforementioned enemy, one key difference is the large accumulation of curly, wisp-like leaves on his head, a trait shared by Little Woods that have somewhat matured. Floaty initially has a large knot in his side, but this transforms into a face once the Kirbys begin to assault him.
Once uprooted and afloat in the water, he becomes a piece of driftwood and loses all of his leaves (but still retains his face).
Games[]
Kirby Mass Attack[]
Floaty Woods appears exclusively in Stage 8 of Green Grounds. Unlike the rest of the Whispy Woods family, he has no form of defense. When the Kirbys find him, Floaty appears to be an unassuming tree with a hole in his middle. The player must fling all the Kirbys into the hole, at which point they climb up into the bushel of leaves at his top and try to uproot him. Aghast, the tree awakens and tries to shake them off. If the player rapidly taps the button that appears on the screen, the tree is detached from his roots and topples over. Floaty becomes a raft for the Kirbys, taking them across a short river. He eventually bumps into Wobbly Woods, causing the giant tree to begin teetering.
