Sportle is a large enemy in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby and the Rainbow Curse.

Physical Appearance[]

Sportle is a big red spore with 16 bumps protruding from its body. It has blue lips and one huge eye with a blue iris. It is able to make extremely expressive faces, unlike most other enemies.

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse[]

Sportle appears exclusively in the stage Woodland Battle. It forms out of thin air when Kirby Tank approaches and excitedly floats near him. After a few seconds, the enemy drifts into him, hurting the hero and defeating itself in the process. If Kirby Tank shoots Sportle twice, it splits into two Sportletinis.

Explortle is a related member of Sportle's species.

Etymology[]

Sportle's name is derived from the word "spore," a unit released by fungi for reproductive purposes; this references the enemy's appearance.
