Strange plant life have been known to inhabit Dream Land, such as palm trees that spawn explosive coconuts.
An explosive coconut is an item (not one Kirby can grab, anyway) that drops on Kirby from some palm trees when he gets under them. They are very easily destroyed. These usually appear in tropical island areas, like Float Islands. Explosive coconuts give no ability when swallowed. These coconuts also explode from contact with Kirby's air puffs. The best ability to avoid these coconuts is with Parasol. Like most enemies, explosive coconuts are "killed" when dropped in water.
Explosive coconuts can also hang onto ceilings. They usually are an obstacle but in spring breeze, they try to guard an item by hanging on top of it. It most likely doesn't hit because there is a body of water under them.
As a weapon
Bonkers is the only mini-boss ever known to throw explosive coconuts around as projectiles. In most games, he only throws out one coconut at a time. But in Kirby Super Star and Kirby Super Star Ultra, he may occasionally throw three consecutive explosive coconuts at a time. Also, creatures known as Crets have been known to send these down on Kirby.
