— Description • Nintendo Power (Volume #134) |
Explosive Snowman[2] is a Power Combo used in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards made by the combination of the Ice and Bomb abilities. Kirby can place an orbicular bomb above his head and cover himself with snow; the two round segments (the bomb and Kirby's body) make up the snowman. He is also able to walk around. After a short while, or when Kirby makes contact an enemy, the bomb will explode and leave Kirby immobilized for a few seconds with his top burnt. As the bomb explodes, the snow from the snowman blowing upwards can freeze airborne enemies. It is required to get a Crystal Shard in the first stage of Aqua Star.
This ability is very similar to the Light Bulb ability, created by mixing Bomb and Spark.

Trivia
- In earlier versions of Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, the Bomb and Ice Power Combo was originally going to have Kirby surround himself in a sphere of ice before having it violently shatter around him. [3]
