Enter the Fiery Forbidden Lands is the twenty-seventh stage in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. It is the first stage of Redgar Forbidden Lands. It succeeds Collector in the Sleepless Valley and precedes Conquer the Inferno Road.

General Information[]

Upon entering the stage, Kirby is seen flying over many abandoned buildings and streets, jagged rock formations, and several Primal Awoofies on outposts via Warp Star. He then lands in a small stone area surrounded by torches, with the path ahead indicated by 2 lion statues. These likely represent Leongar. After moving along the path, lava placed upon the ground makes the route more narrow, and meteors constantly fall from the sky into 3 small craters. Once he clears the last crater, Kirby will encounter a Primal Awoofy on a post that roars once it sees Kirby, causing several enemies to spawn and attack him. Proceeding past will reveal a platform that is immediately struck by a massive meteor, causing it to slowly sink into the lava. A similar platform is found directly after, this one containing a Switch that spawns a Gotcha Capsule on the sinking platform. Escaping the lava and proceeding leads Kirby to a large pool of lava with several Food items across. This is a trap, as a nearby Primal Awoofy will roar and spawn several Rabiroos and an Orabiroo. After defeating them, an island past this will shortly be hit by a meteor and begin to sink. 3 Collect pieces can be found across the small island, which must be obtained quickly. 2 other pieces can be found on an island found straight ahead, which will also sink after being struck by a meteor. Retrieving all 5 pieces will spawn a Treasure Chest containing a Waddle Dee nearby. A Door nearby takes Kirby to the next section.

Kirby begins the next area at the bottom of a large hill containing several Rabiroos and elevated, moving platforms partially coated in lava. Kirby should obtain the Drill ability from a nearby Digguh upon ascending for a bit. This will allow him to obtain several treasures hidden in dirt mounds. After proceeding up a bit further, Kirby can find a Door atop two platforms that occasionally jut out of a wall. To the left of these platforms, Kirby can find a small, hidden path behind a wall, which contains several Noddys before a ladder. The ladder leads to a gate which Drill Kirby can bypass, and contains several Star Coin piles lying past. A Gotcha Capsule can also be found before falling down to the previously seen door and entering it.

The next area begins with Kirby walking across an extremely narrow path along the side of a wall, with several meteors falling down in consistent spots. After defeating 3 Buffahorns packed inside a small room on the side of a building, Kirby can climb a hidden staircase in the room, which leads to a Gotcha Capsule. Proceeding past, Kirby will find a wall, which, when struck by a meteor, sinks to reveal small platforms. The platforms contain a few Star Coins buried underground, and are briefly accessible before being submerged in lava. Another wall nearby is also hit by a meteor, with a wall behind it falling to reveal a Round-Trip Door. Inside, Kirby must find 5 Collect pieces on a giant, sinking platform before the lava makes obtaining pieces impossible. Drill must be used to collect the underground pieces. Once they are all obtained, Kirby may rescue a Waddle Dee formerly behind a gate. A small passage to the right also contains a Gotcha Capsule. Once he collects these, he can fill up with water from a pipe for Water-Balloon Mouth before exiting the building. Using the water, Kirby can clear away lava and destroy meteors. Each meteor destroyed will also spawn Food and Star Coins. Near the end, the camera pans up to reveal 3 small meteors and 1 massive meteor en route to destroying a platform. If Kirby destroys them all in time, he will be able to rescue a Waddle Dee from behind a gate using the Drill ability. After rescuing the Waddle Dee, the goal is directly ahead.

Missions[]

Italicized missions are hidden from view on the player's first playthrough.

  • Clear the stage: When Kirby clears the stage for the first time, he will automatically rescue 3 Waddle Dee prisoners from the golden cage.
  • Save the hidden Waddle Dees: 4 Waddle Dee prisoners can be found here, their locations being the following:
    • Inside a Treasure Chest spawned after collecting the first set of Collect pieces.
    • Behind a gate with a small hole, which Drill Kirby must burrow underground to pass.
    • Behind a gate in a sub-area; Kirby must retrieve 5 Collect pieces to unlock the gate.
    • Behind a gate requiring Drill Kirby to be used to bypass it; Kirby must destroy 4 meteors above to prevent the gate from being inaccessible.
  • Defeat 2 lookout Awoofies: 2 Primal Awoofies in this stage reside on small towers, roaring to summon other enemies to attack Kirby upon seeing him. Their locations are:
    • In plain sight after the first set of meteors.
    • To the left of a small Food-filled crater.
  • Find the secret passage: Before entering the second Door, Kirby can find a small ledge to the left of the wall, which contains a path with several Noddys sleeping along it. It concludes at a gate which Drill Kirby must burrow past; behind the gate lies several Star Coin piles and a Gotcha Capsule.
  • Use water to destroy 7 falling lava balls: Water-Balloon Mouth Kirby can spit water on the meteors to extinguish and destroy them. They are all located near the end of the stage.
