Throughout the game, Magolor will inform the player when they have collected enough to unlock the next door. In pocket dimensions, they are in the possession of Sphere Doomers and the fiends must be defeated to retrieve them. Collecting all 120 Energy Spheres will prompt Magolor to explain the origins of the Lor Starcutter. Speaking to him again after this will have him tell Kirby that he is an acquaintance of someone who knew Kirby particularly well.
Energy Spheres are found on Halcandra as well. After traveling to Halcandra, Magolor explains that he lost some of the Spheres before crashing on Pop Star. As for the Spheres in the pocket dimensions, they are lost in transit throughout Another Dimension when travelling to Pop Star.
