Some say there are beads hidden in this snake's burning body! Can you believe it?!
— Cast Description • Kirby's Epic Yarn

Embas are rare enemies appearing in the game Kirby's Epic Yarn and its remake, Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn. They first appear in Temper Temple and later return in Meta Melon Isle.

Physical Appearance

Embacondas are made up of many small Embas. Embacondas are long and are red and orange in color. They usually have beads inside of them and have two black and red button eyes. The name is based on the anaconda snake.

Games

Kirby's Epic Yarn and Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn

Embacondas move around in a set pattern, and coming into contact with one will burn Kirby or Prince Fluff. They can only be defeated by Kirby and Prince Fluff while in their Fire Engine form. Water blasts can destroy individual segments by hitting them, and destroying the head will destroy all other segments. Each segment, with the exception of the head, drops beads when destroyed.

Etymology

Embaconda's name is a portmanteau of "Emba" (or, alternatively, "ember"), referencing its fiery body; and "anaconda," referring to the fact that it is a sort of snake.

Its Japanese name, ヒノコンダ (Hinokonda), is a portmanteau of the Japanese word for ember/spark, ひのこ/火の粉 (Hinoko); and anaconda, アナコンダ (anakonda).
