|— Cast Description • Kirby's Epic Yarn|
Dropsos are semi-common enemies appearing in the game Kirby's Epic Yarn. They first appear on the Patch Castle stage. They later appear in a few other levels, such as Cool Cave. Where they are present, they are always below a dripping water source, and if one is unraveled or used as a yarn ball, another one will take its place a few moments later by coming out of that water source.
Dropsos appear as simple blue blobs with a white and blue button eye.
Dropsos have no form of attack. Instead, they are stationary and can be used as useful yarn balls for destroying Cloth Blocks and enemies, as more reappear without having Kirby to move off the screen.
Dropso's Japanese name グミーン (Gumīn) may be derived from グミ (gumi), the word for gummy candy. This suggests that it may be based on gumdrops.
