KPR Susie artwork This article is about the enemy in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. For other uses, see Drop (disambiguation).

Looking like giant amoebas, Drops do just what their name implies—they drop from ceilings of caves. Keep an eye out for their blue outlines on the ceiling, and make sure you're not under them when they drop.
— Description • Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards Official Strategy Guide (Prima)

Drop is an enemy in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards.  It gives no Copy Ability when inhaled.

Games

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards

Drop is often stationary, clinging to the ceiling. When Kirby is nearby, Drop will elongate and fall off the ceiling. When on the ground, Drop periodically elongates when Kirby is nearby. When carried over Kirby's head, Drop will collapse into water. A group of Drops also functions as a Room Guarder Stage 2 of Neo Star; six Drops appear at a time, and when a Drop is defeated, a new one spawns in. Each of the initial six Drops correspond to three more Drops that appear when defeated, making for a total of 24 Drops.

Etymology

Drop is named after the word "drop." This refer to Drop's shape, being like a drop of water, as well as its primary means of attack, which is dropping from the ceiling.
