Etymology

"Driblee" is a play on the word "dribble", which describes a trickling stream of water.

His Japanese name, プルアンナ (Puruan'na), may be an anagram of Annapurna (Japanese: アンナプルナ An'napuruna), a Himalayan massif whose streams provide water for fields and pastures at lower altitudes.

Trivia

  • Driblee had a much different design in the E3 2017 trailer for Kirby Star Allies. He looked much more snake-like, lacked flippers and instead had two arms or legs, had smaller eyes, had a slightly larger tail, and his body was seemingly covered in flowing water.
