Doomers are a species native to Another Dimension. They are multicolored, luminescent, avian creatures with vibrant and otherwise unstable skin. There are various types of Doomers, most of which are flying and feature yellow eyes.

Games[]

Kirby's Return to Dream Land and Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe[]

Sphere Doomers appear as common mid-bosses, found in Another Dimension regions that are entered through dimensional rifts that appear after destroying certain objects with Super Abilities. Grand Doomer appears as a boss in Nutty Noon. Other types of Doomers reside within the final level, which wholly takes place inside Another Dimension.

Darpas are the first Doomers that are encountered in Another Dimension; their only form of offense is to fly into the player. Dippas are a bit bigger than Darpas and have more stamina as well; in addition to flying around, they can also shoot Energy Balls. Dupas cannot fly, instead standing or walking on Another Dimension's floors and ceilings; they can also shoot Energy Balls to attack. Deapers are the largest type of Doomer in Another Dimension; they float in and try to form a blockade, spitting out Energy Balls as well; when defeated, their spiky protrusions are released from their bodies as a final attack.

In Magolor Epilogue: The Interdimensional Traveler in Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, Darpas, Dippas, Dupas, and Deapers appear as enemies throughout Magolor's journey. At the end of Locandra Dimension, a group of Sphere Doomers known as the Rampaging Doomers appear as the dimension's boss. After reforming the Gem Apple Seed, the Crowned Doomer appears as the penultimate boss.

Kirby: Planet Robobot[]

The purple and red Sphere Doomers appear as one of the four holographic bosses created by Holo Defense API. They retain their attacks and behavior from Kirby's Return to Dream Land.

Team Kirby Clash Deluxe and Super Kirby Clash[]

The Greater Doomer appears as a boss in various quests.

Trivia[]

  • The Doomers may have a connection to the Master Crown, seemingly doing the bidding of whomever wears it. This is evidenced by one of Magolor's attacks of summoning a horde of Sphere Doomers to attack Kirby and his friends. This would also explain why the Doomers would try to prevent the Lor Starcutter's reassembly of its Energy Spheres and the Grand Doomer's sudden theft of the Mast during Landia's control of the crown, as they were preventing Magolor from making a return back to Halcandra.
  • Initials of the Doomers' Japanese names (including Sphere Doomers and their variants) are unified Japanese R-sounds (ra, ri, ru, re, ro). This is retained in Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, albeit as D-sounds to be consistent with the "Doomer" name.
