Changes: Crystal Area

Crystal Area is one of four areas appearing underground Dream Land in The Great Cave Offensive. The area precedes the Old Tower Area and comes after Sub-Tree Area.

As its name suggests, almost the entire area is made of crystals, gems, etc. The area splits into three paths after the Save Cottage, although only the right door goes anywhere. The left door goes to an area that resembles a crystal wall, with Kirby climbing the outsides. The center door leads to a water-filled cavern. The right door leads to a cavern made of yellow crystal.

Treasures

Dime: first room, swim down past the door in the water to the Treasure Chest. Price: 10G.
Glass Slippers/Glass Slipper: first room, destroy the Breakable Blocks in the water until at the bottom of the room where the Treasure Chest is. Price: 120,000G.
Goblet: second room, enter the left door to the third room. In the third room, activate the Switch to the left to cause water to fall down and destroy some blocks obstructing the Treasure Chest. Price: 800G
Saucepan: third room, activate the Switch at the bottom in the pool of water while swimming over the pit. Press ↑ on the +Control Pad when the Treasure Chest is falling to open it before it passes by into the pit. Price: 10G.
Brass Knuckle: third room, obtain Crash from Bomber and use it to activate the Switch behind the Shutter; this opens the Shutter, gaining access to the Treasure Chest; all other treasures in this room require passing this Shutter. Price: 20,000G.
Amber Rose: third room, after the Shutter, ascend upward to the ledge with the Treasure Chest on it; activating the Switch in the water will cause a water flow with an upward current to appear above, allowing Kirby to swim upward to it. Price: 22,100G.
Fish Fossil: third room, ascend upward and destroy the Bomb Block in the floor; in order to destroy the Bomb Block, a downward attack (from a Copy Ability or Helper) is required. Continue to the right and enter the door. The Treasure Chest is to the left. Price: 8,250G.
Beast Fossil: third room, after the Fish Fossil, the Treasure Chest is to the right. Price: 24,220G.
Nunchucks/Machine Parts: third room, ascend upward and go to the right. Defeat Poppy Bros. Sr.; the Treasure Chest will fall once he's defeated. Price: 55,480G/121,300G.
Bucket: third room, go back into the door to the second room, then enter the middle door (that doesn't lead to the Save Point) to the fourth room. In the fourth room, destroy the Star Block underwater and swim upward against the current to reach the Treasure Chest. Price: 200G.
Summertime/Power Paintbrush: fourth room, ride the left moving platform, then fall through the platform and ride the next moving platform, then fall through again and take the left moving platform, destroying the Breakable Blocks in the way of the Treasure Chest. Price: 250,000G/222,000G.
100 dollar coin/100-Dollar Coin: fourth room, in the second area with two moving platforms, ride the right one, then fall into the water. Carefully swim in the current and press ↑ on the +Control Pad when passing the Treasure Chest on the floor before it passes by; the current is stronger near the Treasure Chest. Price: 10,000G.
Ancient Gem: fourth room, swim up back into the door to the second room, then enter the right door to the fifth room. In the fifth room, go up and activate the Switch to the left, causing some blocks to be destroyed and reveal the Treasure Chest, but this also causes spikes to appear to the left of the Switch. Price: 68,000G.
Falcon Helmet: fifth room, go down the ladder and destroy the Breakable Blocks to the right. The Treasure Chest is hidden in the Breakable Blocks at the very end. Price: 41,000G.
Dud/Cell Phone: fifth room, continue to the right and descend the room's third ladder. Continue to the right and destroy the Bomb Block in the floor (requires a downward attack, such as from Cutter), then fall down and go to the right to the Treasure Chest. Price: 30G/40,210G.
Truth Mirror: fifth room, after the Maxim Tomato, take the lower path, run against the wind and avoid the Gordos and spikes. Price: 500,000G.

Copy Abilities

Some Copy Abilities can only be found via Copy Essence if Kirby attempts to battle Computer Virus without a Copy Ability.

The Crystal Area appears in The Great Cave Offensive stage in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It takes up the right side of the stage.

Trivia

The Machine Parts, Power Paintbrush, and Cell Phone all come from Kirby games: Kirby Air Ride, Kirby: Canvas Curse, and Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, respectively. They are only found in Kirby Super Star Ultra since the aforementioned games were released years after Kirby Super Star.
The music for this area and the Garden Area is a remix of Green Greens's theme. This remix was most likely the inspiration for the theme of Green Greens in Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
